There are (were?) some spots that are perfectly safe if you're careful. Depends on the lake. I got out yesterday on 4.5". Didn't catch shit though lol

I’m west of Sioux Falls, but my son works for GFP at a state park North of Brookings. I fish the Glacial Lakes primarily.
Was referring to the personal pond part.
Oh. Just fortunate
just heading back from north/central MN. What a walleye bite, in 3 days probably put about 80 on the ice, caught a 27, 26 and 2 25s. Brought home a possession limit of 19s. Pretty sure my son lost a 30” when he lost his shit seeing it at the hole.
Made spending all day driving home through a blizzard today worth it.

I've been out 4 or 5 times and haven't been skunked yet! Just bluegill and crappie though. Gonna need to know where you're getting those walleye and what you're using
