First P4 school with an amphibious starting QB?
Doesn't care about money and fame but has moved all over the world to be the main guy at QB.

First P4 school with an amphibious starting QB?
Are you mixing up Mikey & the Raiolas here?Doesn't care about money and fame but has moved all over the world to be the main guy at QB.
Unbiased input right here folks.Dayton, "Just want to be sure of a fit." That was from this morning. Looking like he sees writing on wall and wants to actually play somewhere.
Spot on. And the reason I put 2.5 on Dylan initially is because if we are only 6-6 or 7-5 they will say he needs more pieces around him to truly bring out the best in him. All speculation on my part but I can see it.#4 few buddies of mine and I have been talking most of this season, that we don’t have the core around Dylan to really make him shine. An offensive line that hasn’t been as advertised and WR core that is pretty good not great. That’s why this offense might be better off overall with a qb like Lateef that can be mobile and deal with an inevitable break down that requires a qb to improvise more. If he had stayed with Georgia or Ohio state he would probably look VERY good. Even with the supposed “money to buy anyone in the country” now it would take a couple of more seasons to get that COMPLETE core around him to fully take advantage of Dylan. Sucks that we will probably lose a legacy player after this season to a different school but that’s the way college football is now. If he stays, and I hope he does, Rhule needs to get the O line in shape starting with either a different o-line coach OR bringing in another one to help Donnie.
This is really my biggest issue with the whole thing. Have a QB in our backyard committed to a CFP team that we ignored because we had Dayton committed already. Again, we had to ignore him and not recruit him, but man...Could we flip Jett?
Good for him to do his own thing. I don’t think there is a path for playing time here
Agree... you don't need Crouch/Lord/Armstrong type stuff. Just give me a guy that they have to worry about. You don't need 500 yards rushing from the QB, it'd be nice, but not necessary.
If you can get 180 rushing yards from your QB instead of -60 it's a net +20 on the per game season average. This year, for example, that change alone would take us from 90th in rushing at 137/game to 69th at 157/game. Total offense would go from 71st (385/game) to 56th (405/game). Those little things are a huuuuge difference.
Apologies for citing this retard, but the plot thickens when noticing that Rhule went to Buford to see him just 5 days ago.

To be fair, it was our second most efficient game (only counting P4 opponents). Maryland was #1 despite the 3 turnovers. Here is another tell that I picked up on right away yesterday: Holgo said the UCLA game was the most-efficent the offense has been all year. That was a no-so-subtle statement on his vision for direction of the offense.
I kind of wonder if maybe that last visit didnt go something like:
Dayton: "coach, Lateef is looking pretty good. How are you thinking I'll fit in?"
Rhule: "Look, Lateef is next up and we got Trae coming in the year after and he's the truth. We'll give you a chance to compete, but its not looking good."
Paraphrasing, of course, because I imagine someone swore during this convo too.
None of that is really a new development tho.Highly doubt this has anything to do with Dylan…I think he’s just not seeing much of a path forward as playing time is concerned.
He’s the 1602 overall prospect in the 2026 class…he knows N is going to be recruiting over his head. Looking for a more realistic path forward, (which is smart on his part).
.
And “the insider” is stumped too. Maybe it’s the end of the world.
Maybe Dean knows
Let’s hope Lateef balls out the last two games. That would be the best tying for the program. If Dylan is gone too we need a portal QB. Gimme Leavitt from ASU. He almost came here a couple of seasons ago didn’t he?
None of that is really a new development tho.
He knew at minimum his brother would be here for 1 year with him. Most likely 2. And then Nebraska has had Lateef this whole time and the other 2027 dude committed for a while now.
if TJ cured Rhule of his Raiola Stockholm Syndrome, that is a great thing for this programThe tea leaves insinuate a big issue between the staff and the Raiolas. Rhule's IG story and Dylan changing his IG profile picture to his brand would indicate there's a lot at play.
