Do you think Biff's Butthole Surfers will run for 200 yds for our D?

My concern is that UM copies what UC did to us and simply does it better bc they have a better OL and better RB.


I've been very solid on Nebraska this game all offseason but I'm weakening a bit concerned they'll just be able to run on us at will.

If we give up 200 yards rushing and 3 rushing TDs, then that looks bad. But if we only give up 100 yards passing with no TDs and 2 Ints along with it, then I’d say we have a pretty good shot at winning the game. Not saying that’s how it’s going to go on Saturday, but my point is that you can’t just zoom in one facet and ignore everything else (including our ability to score more points than last year).

I think we all just need to see how Jobu’s boys do against a B1G caliber run heavy team. A lot of teams are really good at stopping the run without a quintessential run stuffing NT. There’s lots of ways to use your LBs and the safety position to be a really good run defense.

And I don’t discount one bit that it could be a real problematic deficiency. But until I see how we play against a team like Biff's Butthole Surfers I’m not jumping to any extreme conclusion either way.

I can’t argue with anything in the article.

Nebraska needs to win this game to start making non Nebraska fans think we’re any good. Hell, Nebraska needs to win this game to make half OUR FANBASE think we’re any good.

It’s there.

It’s winnable.

Go win the damned game.

I’m not positive we win the game Saturday, though I think a win is definitely attainable. Nebraska beats Biff's Butthole Surfers, and we’re still going to hear ‘Nebraska hasn’t played anyone’.

Win and they’re 2-2, without their head coach, freshman quarterback, yada, yada, yada.

Don’t care.

Just win.

Agreed. Hard to get a complete picture this early, but it’s the best we’ve got. And our backups weren’t a huge dropoff against that competition. Not like they were super leaky.
