I'm saying if they were really "conceding a loss" and didn't need the money, they could've traded away the Nebraska game for another home game vs. a directional school.
My point is that they need the $$$ badly and it's a lot easier to trade an L for $$$ when you're not very good (6-6 maybe).

It's a lot harder to trade a L for $$$ if you're aiming for a 10-2 Big 12 Championship season. So hard that they wouldn't have done it.

If the ISU AD is being truthful, the big 12 schools are struggling to pay for the revenue sharing, so they might be just that desperate

Also I should say I think this is SMART of Cincinnati to do. Brilliant actually. They are fleecing our fans for millions of $$ into their revenue sharing pot. They picked the perfect school to do this with. Fair play to them, this is super smart.

I'm just saying that it's a bit deflating for their fans to have to do it.

I guess worst case scenario is it gives them a $5 million head start on paying Satterfield's buyout

Blackshirts are out!

J. Wright, C. Wright, Buford, Hartzog, Singleton, Marshall, Lenhardt, McCullough, Jeudy, Watson-Trent
(Someone's missing. There are only 10 pictured. Keona Davis probably, accoring to the depth chart)
Looks like Lenhardt won the "or" battle over Nwaneri. That is the only deviation from the person atop the depth chart getting a Blackshirt.

"We're not going to play mind games with it. The 11 guys who start wear black.

The closer the game gets the more unsure I am about a Husker win. Probably battered fan syndrome but I think Cincy is better than people think

We have some incredibly dumb fans

They're "more dangerous" than people think. They have some talented athletes on offense and their coach is a good offensive mind. They will hit the Huskers with some shots early.

But depth wise, they're not going to hold up especially at the line of scrimmage over the course of the game.

Here's a question for you and any other Husker fan to test your battered fan syndrome:

If Cockeye, Illinois, Minnesota, USC, or Washington was facing this Cincinnati team, would you still give Cincy any chance to win that matchup?

I Doubt anyone thinks UC could beat those teams. And we can all agree that Nebraska is certainly on par or better than those other Big Ten squads.

Now players still have to make plays, and there are intangibles like effort and emotion that are sometimes unpredictable.

But I still think this type of matchup boils down to talent and experience in the trenches.

Cincy has a bunch of offensive and defensive linemen who would struggle to see the field in the Big Ten.
