You seem like a real smart guy, so you probably already know this, but US exports only account for 3% of China’s GDP and 15% of China total exports. Additionally, Xi doesn’t have to worry about elections and the US is going to get into the mid term election cycle in a few months, so China can let this sit for much longer. US doesn’t really have that much leverage against China.
