If you like investigative true crime stuff, you have to check out "Your Own Backyard," a podcast about an unsolved dissapearance of a college student in 1996. And unlike a lot of true crime podcasts that just summarize the facts and end with "Hopefully someday they'll catch the bad guy," this guy puts his boots on the ground and becomes an investigator himself and there is actually resolution at the end.

History: as has been mentioned, Hardcore History. Very long episodes, but listening to his "Blueprint for Armageddon" series made me understand World War I really for the first time and why it was almost inevitible. (Looks like this series is no longer free and is $2.99 per episode. Six episodes 3-5 hours each). Supernova in the East is still free. Gives a good look at the buildup to World War II well before the U.S. joined and what Japan was doing in the decade or so before then. Dan Carlin has a very engaging voice and is a great storyteller!

Agreed. It feels kind haphazardly put together, which is too bad. They are knowledgeable and have lots of good people they have access to.

I listen to over half of your list. Dore and Smith are great even though they are vastly different politically. I also don’t mind the crazy fucker Russell Brand.

Long winded version: Have a hour or so left of the episode. Never heard of him before this podcast. I’ve only heard of remote viewing basically through word of mouth and the show has brought it up with other guests. I did some quick minimal research on Project Stargate while listening to the show and he was right that an independent analyst Utts. I found this particular excerpt of interest “An analysis conducted by Professor Jessica Utts showed a statistically significant effect,[11] with gifted subjects scoring 5%-15% above chance, though subject reports included a large amount of irrelevant information, and when reports did seem on target they were vague and general in nature.[12] Ray Hyman argued that Utts' conclusion that ESP had been proven to exist, especially precognition, "is premature and that present findings have yet to be independently replicated.".. I find it interesting that 1. There is data stating there maybe credence to remote viewing and 2. McMoneagle name appears to attempt to be tarnished by some which imo makes me wonder why? Because stuff like this there is no need to go out of your way to think someone is crazy because most already think this. Unless of course it’s true and you’re emphasizing/persuading people its not in fact real because it is? Then comes McMoneagle and him not being able to remember certain stories and being in accurate on cases but is that just due to lack of understanding? I still have a lot of questions. Where I stand right now is remote viewing is possible and McMoneagle has embellished some stories and his accuracy.

I’m about an hour and a half from being done. The only thing I do know is the Russian and the American governments have both used remote viewing. The guy is definitely interesting to listen to. That has to be Shawn Ryan’s longest one part episode.

He had Michael Herrera on around that time too I think. Both stories would be crazy to many, but neither surprise me. I actually thought about that with the recent earthquake.
