Colorado Recommendations...

Wife and I are planning something similar in February. Haven't booked anything yet, thought about Estes, other area was around Divide. Is the area around Divide worth a shit?
Lots of summer hiking trails, other normal outdoor stuff. Close to Colo Springs/ Manitou Springs, etc. There is a brewpub (Paradox Beer Co.) there but we've never been. Russ' Place is the local burger joint. That's all I've got. Manitou Springs is fun.

We’re just going for a few days to get away from the madness. Dump our kids off at the outlaws. Couple days to ourselves. I just need seclusion and close enough to a town and a decent place to eat and/drink. I’m not picky.

Yeah, we stayed at Cliff House a couple years ago and took the cog railroad to Pike’s Peak, which we really enjoyed.
