I think they are good coaches but some much of our Fanbase only wants coaches with ties to Nebraska. There are lots of good coaches out there. I hope we get Joseph and would be fine with Garrison. Most Husker Fans are more concerned with tradition over actually winning games. Just hire the best dam coach you can. Bob Devaney didn't go to Nebraska. Nick Saban didn't go to Alabama. Bob Stoops didn't go to Oklahoma. Lincoln Riley didn't go to USC.
Let's hire the best staff we can and not friends or people who have ties to Nebraska.

I tend to agree with you. Ultimately I just want the best coach that we can get. However, sometimes that guy may have a Nebraska connection. Frost was (at the time) the right hire. Mickey Joseph is one of the top WR coaches. I'm not in love with Garrison, but he offers a lot more than just his Nebraska connections...

He coached one great player. Overall, his OL's have been average. NC State throws the ball around a lot, they aren't exactly throwing bodies around over there...
