Game Thread Nebrasketball Game #17: @ Ohio State - Monday, January 5th, 5:30pm FS1

What will the game result be?

  • Ohio State double digit win

    Votes: 0 0.0%

  • Total voters
    57
  • Poll closed .
BTW, metrics will probably start to even out the next week. At this point, only significant injuries will change spreads.

Going by ESPN Bpi, Nebraska will be favored in every game except the following:

at Ohio State
at Indiana
at Michigan
at Cockeye
Purdue
at USC
at UCLA

They will be favored at Northwestern, Minnesota, and Rutgers.

They are very small underdogs at USC. I do think that Purdue spread will also be close. They will also be small favorite over Illinois in Lincoln.
It’s quite common for ESPN’s BPI & Vegas’s lines to not match up, so using it to predict what the betting lines are doesn’t work perfectly.

Well they've been very close to Nebraska's lines since early December.
I use the ESPN app to check betting lines multiple times a day, they don’t always match up. Very often a team will be like -1.5 but ESPN will give them a ~40% chance to win. I know because I fade ESPN every time I see it happens.

Well I rarely look at the percentages. I think they're quite stupid actually.

I must be misunderstanding then, what are using to create future lines? Just who’s ranked higher on ESPN’s RPI? I agree the percentages are retard, that’s why I fade them.

There is zero chatter about this game from an Ohio State perspective.

Fans over there are really shaken by the loss to Miami.

I feel like the crowd in Columbus tonight will reflect this attitude, especially without students.

Great opportunity to grab another road win.

It would be great if we could go 1-1 over these next two games. And if we're going to win one of them I think Ohio St is the one to win. Indiana shoots the 3 so well at home, that's going to be very tough to win on Saturday. Hopefully the early start for the Indiana game has them coming in sleep walking.

We’ll jump North Carolina, Michigan State and 1 (maybe 2) of… Vanderbilt, BYU, Houston or Gonzaga. Should definitely be ahead of BYU and probably Houston, but we’ll see what they do. Probably still some flaming homosexuals that won’t vote us in the top 10.
I understand the BYU game was an exhibition BUT we won and that should stick

until the zebras fuck us...or try to. Just like they tried in the MSU game

Hopefully that Thorton is cold tonight

I feel like you can still beat Ohio State if Thorton goes off for 35, and you shut everybody else down. Hell, Bryce Williams scored 30+ like 4 times last season when Nebraska lost, including 43 points vs. Ohio State.

Contain Mobley, Royal, and Tilly, and it won't matter Thorton does.
