It's Rhule's program, but ultimately success on the field will be determined by getting the coaching staff and roster right.

IMO Rhule is an effective coach in the old world of CFB. Now that it's turned into pay for play, he's starting to look like NFL Matt. The question for me is will this next "reset" be successful or more of the same?

There's a lot about him that I like, but we're counting on him to succeed in a professional landscape he's failed in before.

I don’t know that anyone but you is doing this and if they are they’re being incredibly dishonest.

We can acknowledge that Rhule is much better than Frost and also be upset about how the season ended. It’s okay to do that.
Rhule is not much better than frost. They are both huge losers. Do you agree that Riley and Callahan were better than Rhule ?

Yeah. The only support for the idea Rhule is worse than Frost is “I just want it to be true right now to support how I am feeling!”

Nobody believes Rhule is worse than Frost. But I think you’re also talking with the guy who says Haarberg is better than Raiola at QB.

I emotionally checked out of this season once Raiola got injured because it should’ve been obvious what we’d get from there.

It’s always worth remembering that these two seasons were the first back to back bowl seasons in over a decade.

The good thing is in 2026 you can retool, especially with $$$ resources, but Rhule has to deliver over the next couple seasons.

Matt Rhule has had six winning seasons in 10 years as a head coach.

Scott Frost has had one winning season in 8 years as a head coach.

The glossing over Frost in this thread makes me think our fans’ brains are broken.

Well marginally better not much better.
Conference record first 3 years for frost
9-18

Conference record first 3 years for Rhule
10-17

What’s his record against ranked teams? I’ll wait
That’s not really relevant when comparing the two coaches.

Scott Frost’s best win at Nebraska was over Michigan State his first year. A team barely over .500. I believe he only beat two Power 5 teams above .500 (both in his first year).

The ranked teams argument is stupid. It puts more weight on us beating 4-8 Oregon in 2016 than it does beating Colorado last year, who finished ranked.

Honest question here… was it Raiola getting hurt or that we finally played good football teams that saw our downfall back half of the year?

No right or wrong answer just curious.

The people high up on mount pious talking about winning records won’t like this one bit

Half of Rhule’s winning seasons are 7-6 and buoyed bigly by playing nobody in the non-con

(Rhule in addition to being a nothing burger has a HC is also a coward)
