Pritchett, Spindler and Nwaneri were lineman from the portal. We'd just get another WR though. Who needs OT's and DL. Those are for pussy teams that don't want to put up video game numbers on Akron.
Don't act like they aren't trying to get lineman.

True. I was just thinking of Rhule's list of portal priorities and how much I hate it.Pritchett, Spindler and Nwaneri were lineman from the portal.

Love of the gameSeriously though if you aren't going to spend a dime on a few luxuries what's the point?
Donate it to nonprofits that do nothing except make execs richSeriously though if you aren't going to spend a dime on a few luxuries what's the point?
Following this embarrising performance, I plan on writing Warren Buffett a letter BEGGING him to send a donation to Nebraska Athletics.
If enough people write, he will consider and eventually pay up.
Its the only solution to this mess I can think of. Lets just unite as one and try.
I was thinking about one who's good, like the one who was ranked as the No. 5 overall player in the portal who is now starting for Oregon. Instead we settled for the No. 157 player who got run out of Alabama. To do fucking what? Buy another LT that sucks?
Of course it's not a merely a money issue. But better players would certainly help, right? You realize that we’re spending a lot more money than Minnesota, right? I don’t think it’s merely a money issue
Him at LT and Prich at RT would’ve been nice but how tf do we have no one else developed who either isn’t ready of painfully below average in year 3?I was thinking about one who's good, like the one who was ranked as the No. 5 overall player in the portal who is now starting for Oregon. Buffett didn't lift a finger to help any of our 3 consecutive coaches who played for national titles.Another way to look at it-Buffett is master of putting his money in position for the best return. Maybe he hasn't donated yet because that position hasn't presented itself yet. I'm just throwing out there, and I think Rhule if not jumping can get this team to playoffs. But, if true with Warren then maybe he's waiting on who he thinks is a great coach to invest in. More likely he realizes college athletics isn't an investment at all, and only for big time sports fans and people who want their names on bricks.
Personally, I think timing with everything Penn State/ Rhule sucked, and very disappointed in whatever led to the effort in yesterday's game.
It’s some sort of booster ego control. Instead of going all in they hold back until they deem it ok I guess. It’s very odd and no other peer program operates like that.Of course it's not a merely a money issue. But better players would certainly help, right?
I don't get the sentiment expressed by some that Friday's loss means we shouldn't try to buy better players in the portal.
Like, "We were all for getting you better players, but now that you fell on your face against the Gophers, we're going to punish you by not helping you get better players."
Buffet didn't go to UNO. He went to UNL.He does nothing for athletics, and very little for the state. He legitimately gives bigger gifts to the university of Michigan than even Nebraska-Omaha that he went to.
Outside of his UNO gifts, almost none of his money goes to anything in state.

You think have the Skers wear Maverick throwback uniforms for a game would help?Trying to get the Oracle to donate is a lost cause...
Probably just as tough of a hill to climb is getting the people that run his foundation to give to NIL over cancer research or other things for UNMC.
But there's plenty of opportunity for more money from Omaha in regards to NIL. There's a disconnect that the President needs to figure out, and if the President isn't an athletic person that's tough. Ted Carter leaving was a blow.
I mean, that's an unbelievable idea. I know you were joking but what if we came out with Mavs O on our helmet as an alternate to get money from some of the people pissed? You think have the Skers wear Maverick throwback uniforms for a game would help?
😁
Even if we don't go for the full throwback uniforms, we could still kind of partially adopt their history. I mean, they did rep the University of Nebraska. Recongnize some of their great players during a timeout like we do for returning Huskers. Maybe salute an anniversary team of one of their best squads, etc.I mean, that's an unbelievable idea.
