Another way to look at it-Buffett is master of putting his money in position for the best return. Maybe he hasn't donated yet because that position hasn't presented itself yet. I'm just throwing out there, and I think Rhule if not jumping can get this team to playoffs. But, if true with Warren then maybe he's waiting on who he thinks is a great coach to invest in. More likely he realizes college athletics isn't an investment at all, and only for big time sports fans and people who want their names on bricks.

Personally, I think timing with everything Penn State/ Rhule sucked, and very disappointed in whatever led to the effort in yesterday's game.

Buffett didn't lift a finger to help any of our 3 consecutive coaches who played for national titles.

He does nothing for athletics, and very little for the state. He legitimately gives bigger gifts to the university of Michigan than even Nebraska-Omaha that he went to.

Outside of his UNO gifts, almost none of his money goes to anything in state. It's all going to California organizations and Bill Gates' "charity". NU football won't see a dime of it until it goes through (probably multiple generations of) his beneficiaries.

It’s some sort of booster ego control. Instead of going all in they hold back until they deem it ok I guess. It’s very odd and no other peer program operates like that.

Probably just as tough of a hill to climb is getting the people that run his foundation to give to NIL over cancer research or other things for UNMC.

Even if we don't go for the full throwback uniforms, we could still kind of partially adopt their history. I mean, they did rep the University of Nebraska. Recongnize some of their great players during a timeout like we do for returning Huskers. Maybe salute an anniversary team of one of their best squads, etc.
