did I read somewhere that he also reclassified from 2027 to 2026? Or am I making that up?
Close - he reclassified from 2025 to 2026 and is attending a "football academy" this fall. It has really been a good decision for him as the offers show. (It's managed by TPH, which is familiar to me in Michigan as they own 15 hockey prep sports academies).

The St. James Performance Academy

Opened in August 2024, The St. James Performance Academy is an innovative college preparatory sports academy designed to provide unparalleled development opportunities for dedicated middle and high school student-athletes, as well as graduates interested in a post-grad year to prep for college. Inspired by the pursuit of excellence, the Academy utilizes best practices in guided learning, athletic coaching and development, and high performance to educate, inspire and develop the next generation of world class athletes and leaders.

He played HS ball in Gaithersburg MD.

You have any examples of college football players who did a post grad year at similar academies and found success in college football? Just curious

This particular kind of academy is, I think, too new to have a track record. My son left HS after junior year to play hockey at a competitor academy of TPH and probably half the guys went on to play college hockey; two of his friends played for NCAA D1 National Champions (two different schools).

As far as traditional prep schools as a one year finisher, AI gave me these:

Potroast sighting will get the guys going.

Nebraska ascending to a plane of bitching where we're mad about our QB2s receiving yards is going to be a sight to behold.
But the bright side is, with both Raiola and Haarberg back there, we are equal threats to throw deep or run the triple option. Teams won't know how to defend us.

It's the second to last evolution of offensive football right before "total football" where you recruit 11 guys who are between 6'3" and 6'5" and 235-275 lbs who can play all 11 offensive positions so they never know who is going to be where

You'd think Nebraska would be well suited for that version of football, as our state produces nothing but tight end bodies.
