Week 7 @ Maryland: Game Notes, Depth Chart, Etc…

Quote from Mike Locksley about the Huskers:

"Their success in the defensive backfield can be attributed to the pass rush."

On Nebraska's defense

"It's a team that gives up a little bit in the run game. They're a great pass defense. When we study people, we try to figure out what they do well and what they don't do well. Based on our scouting, he's a good coach."

I try not to toot my own horn on here too much but I was telling everyone on here this offseason that Nwaneri was going to be the real deal this season.

I don't know that I had any type of viable prediction about his production or impact in 2025. But I was 100% positive that the narratives being spewed by Mizzou Fans and Media were absolute bull shit.

From what was explained to me last Summer of 2024, Nwaneri never wanted to go to Mizzou. But that Missouri State Law which allowed high school kids to start earning NIL money as soon as they signed with a public institution in Missouri basically forced his hand. His family needed money, and he was able to help them out with financial issues while he was still only 17 years-old.

I was told in August of 2024, that Nwaneri was already looking to transfer out of Mizzou. Nebraska was able to capitalize as soon as they hired Mozee.

Mizzou fans were calling him lazy, uninspired, and scared of competition.
