His head was basically at my feet so I could have got him with both but we went back inside hoping he would go about his business but he didn't so we got the pot and spoon to scare him off which it did. The pistol is mostly for noise to scare him off. I have my rifle ready if it gets to that point but like I said above usually he scares off pretty easy. DOW has been trying to catch him to try and relocate him but I haven't heard any updates lately. He hasn't been back luckily and that was more than a week ago so hopefully they got him.
