I actually can't justify buying it because other than the 20 and .410 I'd rarely use the 28 and idk what the hell the other one is. (Some Euro commie bullshit)
It's a .36 gauge / .410. Wonderful little anti-rabbit round and for the Mrs. and the boys as they grow up, a manageable home defense round. BUT there are certainly more cost effective ways of acquiring a .410 shotgun.

36/.410 same thing. Regardless your point is valid. Might use a 20 once in a while. When are you ever using a .410 as an adult? I didn't know there was a 28 before your post.

my wife's favorite gun is her .410 Mossberg 500

Holds five 2.5in shells, or four 3in shells

Super fun little gun and she has a high body count on small game. (Armadillos, Chipmunks, Crows, snakes, etc)

I’ve been thinking about buying one of these for ptarmigan and grouse. I like the idea of its light weight while hiking around.

My 12 GA is a mossbeberg 500 and I’ve had zero issues over the years.

It patterns great up to 35 yards then the lack of pellets in a .410 starts catching up to shots on target and there are uneven spreads and gaps

Anything further than that the only load I've found that holds really good is Remington Express Long Range. I can get a legit pattern still with enough terminal velocity at 50 yards with #6 shot

ptarmigan hunting on the road system is too much work. In Bethel I could snowmachine up to them and shoot a bunch with a .22

Had a nice day in the Rocky Mountain National Park today, lads. Had a moment on the drive back towards our camper when I found myself instinctively reaching for the .44 next to my driver's seat in the pickup. Then I remember ... "LHR, yore in a National Park, you have NO permit, and they're outta season. STOP IT".

Still ... I could have dropped this beast with a ball bat he was so close. Beautiful cot dam animals.
