Amazing how one neighborhood produces so many studs. Must be something in the water. How do they do it.

He is their eighth DL commit. Maybe one of the others starts to look around and we can pick him up. There's a nice little 6-4, 300 lb. 3-star from Kansas in there.

(TBF, that includes two guys labeled as edges. Maybe they are more LB types. There are six guys labeled as DE or DT.)

Seven Cloud is completely different. He is from McEachern HS in Georgia, was a Georgia commit in the HS c/o 2023, but ended up having to go Juco at Butler (that's why it says KS next to his name).

I think we went hard on Sone because he has a high ceiling - he is likely a difference maker who would start playing soon after he arrived- and we had a good relationship with him and his handler going back at least 18 months. I.e., he would always have a slot in the class no matter what as long as we didn't have to overpay. I am not sure they will take a DT in this class at DT who doesn't have the have early PT/difference-maker feature.

Based on who they were recruiting in the spring, it appears they think we are short of guys at what I would the defensive hybrid positions - guys who can play OLB and 7 or 9 tech (can rush the passer and cover receivers), and guys who could play either Safety or Nickel.

Guys like Jordan Campbell and Sone they will go after because they would make an immediate impact and we already have an in with both. The other guys they go after are likely to be what a just described - those are the places they appear to think we need added numbers of B1G quality guys.
