Interesting Staples story about how Wisconsin's claim that Miami committed tortious interference by tampering with the DB that transferred from Wisky to Miami without entering the portal actually may strengthen the argument that college football players are employees.

Any idea why Scott only took two visits?
He took his ASU OV in April and apparently only OVed at Nebraska in June.

A cynical glance at it makes me think other schools are avoiding him. The optimistic view is he shut most things down after commiting to ASU and only kept touch with Nebraska after his first commitment.
Because ASU prohibits commits from visiting elsewhere. Once he decided to OV to Nebraska, ASU no longer considered him to be in their class.

He had an OV to Nebraska set up before he committed to ASU in April and cancelled it.

Crazy that Scott has thrown both shot put & discus as a D1 receiver recruit.
That IS crazy. It was freshman year, though

It's also crazy that our RB recruit has a 200M PR that is 1.2 seconds faster (21.69) than Scott's. Scott, though, is hefty for a HS junior WR (200)

Can’t be too many 4 star wide receivers that have ever thrown shot & yeah but it is junior year vs freshman year with the 200 times too. I’d imagine Scott runs faster than his posted times now.

the time I posted was from this past spring outdoor season. He has a second athletic.net profile for the school he transferred to for junior year.

Dumbest shit ever that any 5 star Mormon would do this. Potentially losing himself millions of dollars..

They’re paying him or his family. The LDS has extremely deep pockets. They are making so much money off their investments they could never take in another dollar of tithing and still expand their world wide mission. They have one booster funding their bball operation who just bought the #1 recruit last year.

Also what happened to the 🍆 in the thread title? Can we get a couple of those bad boys back up there?

I don't know if Moab really counts as Utah but in the time we were there the one thing that I noticed is how the Mormons look out for each other.

It probably depends on if they see him as a true tackle. If they see him as an inside guy, with two already committed they might pass.
Nebraska told Noil they thought he could play either tackle, but saw him primarily as a LT

They also told Cooper they see him as a tackle. Cooper calls himself a RT.

BMunson said today he thought Mpouma is the most likely tackle to commit. His trend through the process is that the last visit he takes is the best.

I think Noil's final three suggests we are in the lead given that he went to Miss St this weekend, he said they moved up his list and he did not commit even though they said he is a take. He initially said he was committing July 7 just after his Nebraska OV also. It sounds like he wants to pick Nebraska and Miss St is willing to wait on him. He is likely waiting for the dust to settle at Nebraska and we are sure we have a spot for him (remember Obot is out there too - he's just much more likely to commit to Utah or maybe Oregon than he is Nebraska. Obot is committing in July.)

I think Cooper is our next pick after Mpouma but Cooper may drag out his decision - he is a Syracuse commit and can afford to wait and see what happens. That may have an impact. We probably can't afford to wait for him if he does if he does.
