Nebraska told Noil they thought he could play either tackle, but saw him primarily as a LT

They also told Cooper they see him as a tackle. Cooper calls himself a RT.

BMunson said today he thought Mpouma is the most likely tackle to commit. His trend through the process is that the last visit he takes is the best.

I think Noil's final three suggests we are in the lead given that he went to Miss St this weekend, he said they moved up his list and he did not commit even though they said he is a take. He initially said he was committing July 7 just after his Nebraska OV also. It sounds like he wants to pick Nebraska and Miss St is willing to wait on him. He is likely waiting for the dust to settle at Nebraska and we are sure we have a spot for him (remember Obot is out there too - he's just much more likely to commit to Utah or maybe Oregon than he is Nebraska. Obot is committing in July.)

I think Cooper is our next pick after Mpouma but Cooper may drag out his decision - he is a Syracuse commit and can afford to wait and see what happens. That may have an impact. We probably can't afford to wait for him if he does if he does.
surprised cooper is not being taken as a Guard.

Schaeffer is a gloomy guy. Says out of the remaining decommited and uncommitted official visitors we'll get Scott, Miles and, if we pay enough, Mpouma. Certainly, it's possible he could be right, but it seems pretty pessimistic to me. I think Noil, Cooper and Jackson are all good possibilities. Sone is a longshot, but also possible.

Checking back on Nebraska's remaining official visit targets

Where are things sitting for the remaining official visitors Nebraska hosted this month?

The run of official visits is over for Nebraska football and now it's time for the staff to start trying to lock in commitments and, perhaps more importantly, shift a bulk of focus to the season ahead.
However we're always focused on recruiting, so let's take a look at what remains among the visitors who came to see Nebraska and aren't committed elsewhere:

Brian Bonner — The talented running back out of Valencia High School visited Nebraska at the beginning of the month. The Huskers have loved the talent, but pulling him away from the West Coast was always a concern. Bonner might commit at the beginning of July, but with Nebraska landing Jamal Rule, it appears this running back is going elsewhere.

Jacob Eberhart — This is one of those recruitments where I just don't have any real read for how Nebraska ends up with him. Eberhart has taken visits to Illinois, Missouri and Oklahoma. The word out of both the Missouri and OU visits was he really enjoyed himself. Nebraska could use someone like Eberhart who can play multiple defensive positions but I see this one going elsewhere.

Devin Jackson — A Miami defensive back and high school teammate of Danny Odem, Jackson has been to Nebraska several times but it just never feels like the Huskers are going to be the team for him. Both Miami and Oregon are going hard. Florida, where Jackson was previously committed, remains interested. LSU is in the mix too. Nebraska certainly can push for as long as possible, but it doesn't seem likely.

Darion Jones — A rare 2026 in-state official visitor, Jones is deciding on July 4 between all the teams he's visited, but really between Cockeye and Nebraska. At one point I though the Huskers were going to win out here because of his brother being in the defensive back room already, but it doesn't seem like Nebraska could overcome the fact Jones grew up an Cockeye fan. It's a tough one to lose, because Jones is that good and Cockeye will only make it sting more.

Larry Miles — Nebraska liked Miles enough to get him on campus stwice in a month. A speedy slot receiver, Miles would be good depth and a nice Jacory Barney Jr. backup down the line. Miles decides July 1 and the Huskers are in a great spot with Kentucky and Pitt having added a combined seven receivers themselves already.

Claude Mpouma — Nebraska is one of three teams in this one and pending who talk with all three teams have reason to feel like they're firmly in the fight. Florida has made Mpouma feel comfortable and the environment reminds him of Cameroon, Nebraska and Auburn provide places where he knows he can handle his football business and grow as a player. It's fair to wonder if NIL will be a big part of this decision.

Leon Noil Jr. — A big offensive lineman that never felt like he was a priority, Noil had a nice visit at Nebraska and the Huskers are in his top group of Mississippi State, Baylor and the Huksers Could Nebraska end up with his one? Absolutely, but a final visit to Mississippi State and Nebraska needing to focus on tackles with two similar guys in Hayden Ainsworth and Rex Waterman in the class already makes me think the Huskers aren't the choice.

Kelvin Obot — Speaking of offensive linemen that Nebraska is focusing on, Obot would be a dream addition for this team. The Huskers need tackles. The Huskers particularly need guys who aren't projects and can step in and play the position in a few seasons. Unfortunately so does literally everyone else and Nebraska's efforts to land offensive tackles over the calendar year have been thwarted and largely have come up short. This feels similar with Obot.

Zion Robinson — A very talented wide receiver out of Texas, Robinson is set to make an announcement on Wednesday about where he plans to play. Nebraska got a visit, but it looks like Michigan is going to win out for the Top247 receiver this time around.

Nalin Scott — Is this cheating? Probably, but questions abound on if Scott is even a commitment to Arizona State at this time. The Sun Devils have a strict no-visit policy while committed and Scott broke it to come to Nebraska. Regardless the Huskers are in a good spot for a receiver Daikiel Shorts has made a priority this offseason and was happy to get to Lincoln this past weekend.

Valdin Sone — Nebraska did everything it could to make itself a viable option for Sone, but the Big Ticket is highly sought after and even though he's been to campus multiple times, it pales to the eight visits to Florida or the prestige of Georgia or Ohio State. Sone is going to be ar recruitment that goes until he signs and maybe Nebraska get shim back in the fall, but it feels unlikely this one ends up well for the Huskers.

Calvin Thomas — A Texas based linebacker that has lived all over the world, Thomas left his Nebraska visit high on the Huskers and the possibility of what he could do in the defense. Unfortunately for Nebraska the next visit was to Texas and the Longhorns are the clear favorite at the moment for the defender.
