Nah. At worst it's similar. I think old Pac 12 > current Big 12.

Still play half the teams. The other half is mostly teams that were better than most of the teams in the Big 12. Oregon far better than any Big 12 teams.

Oregon St and Wash St are probably middle of the pack in the Big 12. Not any worse than the worst teams.

I watched a weird amount of PAC 12 football that year and the whole conference was pretty ass. It was really bad football. Washington was by far and away the best team. If you look back at individual schedules, a whole lot of their "good" records came from beating their overranked in conference foes, much like what goes on in the SEC every year. It was very rare in general for the old Pac 12 to not be the weakest P5 conference.

Over the last 10-20 years, I'd agree that the Big 12 was better than the PAC12. But the PAC 12 in 2023 was much better than the Big 12 in 2024, which is what the conversation was about. The 2023 PAC 12 teams in 2024 were better than the Big 12 teams in 2024.

I honestly didn’t think he’d make it through year 2 after we beat their ass. Figured they’d tank, his kids would tank and he’d have a health issue related to his two remaining toes and walk, or limp away.

I’m shocked he’s staying even an off season after his two dickhead kids ran out of eligibility.

Its hard to take your argument seriously when you consider the Big 12 as not more ASS than the Pac 12. I don't believe the PAC 12 was very good either. IMO, USC wins 7 games in the Big 10, and 9 games in the PAC 12.

But the Big 12 basically has a league schedule where you get to play 4 G5 teams in your conference season. If you play at least 2 G5 or 1 FCS team in the Non Con, that means a .500 team from the Big Ten or SEC would basically be guaranteed 8 wins without breaking a sweat.

Shilo ran a 4.52, while not terrible is on the slower end of safety prospects, with his game film he isn't getting drafted. His name will get him a camp invite, but he might as well give up his NFL dreams as it isn't happening.

Horn ran a 4.40, while that is fast, that isn't a tremendous time for a tiny WR. That is the same time as Neyor, but Neyor has 8 inches and 44 pounds on Horn. They both have had issues with drops, the bigger WR is going to be preferred every time here. If you are 5'8" and 174, you have to be wicked fast and 4.40 isn't. Kinda fast, small and drop issues don't make the NFL.

Shedildo looked alright, but Tennessee cancelled a private workout afterwards, pretty much assuring Cam Ward is the top QB and top pick. Probably a first round pick with this year's QB class, but it could be 3rd pick or 26th.

Biggest surprise, at least to me was how slow Silmon-Craig was, kid is a baller, but 4.65 as a Safety or small LB is pretty slow for the NFL.
