Boston College and Virginia seem like pretty good fits. I wouldn’t be surprised to see no expansion at all though. No necessary reason to dilute the brand.
TCU and Baylor are dark horses though

Oh boy that’d be the ultimate big dick move to the boys in Columbus. He hasn’t even beaten Cockeye. Does he want the pressure of needing to beat tOSU?No one will want Cockeyes state. Michigan should go get Campbell.
If the big two leave the big 12, he isn’t going to stay long at Cockeye state.Honestly not much of a reason to take on anything else. He’s doing fine in Ames
Conference realignment is all about tv markets, revenue, financial value, etc. Teams like Cockeye State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, etc, are going to be fucked hard if Oklahoma and Texas leave the Big 12. Those schools have no financial value, no real fan bases, etc. I suppose they could try to continue on with the Big 12, maybe add BYU and some other regional schools, but they're basically just a G5 conference at that point.I was just thinking if they need a conference it makes sense geographically
Not smart ass, genuine question, why would the rest of the big 12 go group of 5?
Texas Tech seems like a fit with the PAC 12 too.because they don’t have the value to end up in one of the super conferences. Maybe the PAC 12 scoops up OSU, but if I were ISU, KSU, TT, TCU, Baylor, I would not have a lot of confidence in my future should the Big 12 dissolve.
Check out this chucklefuck who thinks he knows everything that's going on in behind-closed-doors discussions just from reading a few tweets! The leadership emanating from Kevin Warren's Chicago office on this issue is deafening. Talk about a useless POS. As Damon Benning would say, "Goodness!"
No way is UNC leaving Duke & NC State. Most likely the Big 10 would raid the ACC. Boston College, Virginia, Georgia Tech, North Carolina
They wouldn't so much 'go' G5 so much as 'become' it when the remains of the Big 12 cease to be a power conference. Not smart ass, genuine question, why would the rest of the big 12 go group of 5?
Yeah they might be, although I don’t know how much they bring to the table in terms of popularity/market/history.Texas Tech seems like a fit with the PAC 12 too.
I imagine if this goes down we’ll see some sort of Mountain West or AAC combo with some of the Big 12 left overs
Boy that’s gotta be a tough pill to swallow for them. TCU isn’t too far out from their most recent success, and Baylor just hired the LSU guy a year agobecause they don’t have the value to end up in one of the super conferences. Boy for a once proud conference that sure turned shitty real fastConference realignment is all about tv markets, revenue, financial value, etc. Teams like Cockeyes State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, etc, are going to be fucked hard if Oklahoma and Texas leave the Big 12. Honestly if I’m in the Big 10 if Notre Dame says no I’m probably calling Oregon and ISC. Probably would try for USC and Notre Dame 1stYeah they might be, although I don’t know how much they bring to the table in terms of popularity/market/history.
gotta figure the PAC 12 would be looking to add a couple schools though

That’s a good point. Didn’t consider that. I guess I was assuming the big 12 turns to the other big 10 or ISU joins the actual big 10 and their life becomes stableIf the big two leave the big 12, he isn’t going to stay long at Cockeyes state.
They’re a conference tweener I feel like. Like West Virginia. It wouldn’t feel right if they movedBaylor basketball just won a Natty and they’ve got access to the Dallas media market. They’ll find a place.

Merge with Pac 12, add BYU and Notre Dame. 28 team conference with 4 divisions. Husker fans happy because we basically are out of the Big 10.Honestly if I’m in the Big 10 if Notre Dame says no I’m probably calling Oregon and ISC. Probably would try for USC and Notre Dame 1st
Unless it has been renegotiated I thought their TV deal was like 40 mil and ours way 55 mil.
This next TV deal will be interesting with streaming and talk of teams or leagues developing own channels more. I wonder if that's why they are expanding the husker media department.
