The clock management on that last drive of regulation was criminally bad. Fuck it dude, we’re already losing, take some goddamn shots. Who cares if we leave time for Wisconsin to score? Fucking put the pressure on them.
That wasn't the concern. The concern was turning it over when you already had a FG basically in the bag.

If Rhule went YOLO going for the TD and Chubba threw an INT you all would be calling for Rhule's head for being an idiot and not taking the easy 3.

You guys can't have it both ways.

You have a piece of paper in your house with your name and University of Cockeye on it.

I'd rather keep a sex tape of me getting gang banged

Lol out loud.

Yeah I’ll wear it dude my choices were there or Cockeye western. I didn’t have a pot to piss in and they gave me some cash. Had fun, met my wife, still bleed red. Barely use my degree now anyway

Watching Husker games is worse than watching a Roman Reigns match. Each time you think the good guys are gonna win, outside interference comes in and fucks everything up.

I must say it is hilarious after the fact. We bitch all week that Rhule and Satt throw it to end the game. Now Rhule probably worries a bit and calls a conservative 2 minute drill. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. The Simulation™️ owns us until Tom dies, just you wait. Thom is looking haggered, could lose him this off season and the devil will relinquish our fandom to purgatory next season to finally see a bowl game.
It's just a completely different situation from last week.
Last week you're at home and the game is tied. You've also been turning it over all game like clockwork. It makes sense to go conservative, but you go aggressive and turn it over.
This week you're on the road at night and losing. You haven't turned it over once. It makes sense to be aggressive, but you go conservative.
I just don't get it.

I don’t think it was poor clock management. I think they accomplished exactly what they were trying to do.

The real question is WHY we were playing for the tie instead or trying to score a touchdown and win.
Exactly, this is where I'm at. I'm sure I'd be just as pissed if they threw an int or whatever like last week but 100 times out of 100 I would rather be aggressive and try to snatch the win rather than playing not to lose.

Rhule played scared toward the end of regulation on the last drive .. not like a team that wanted to go out and take it. How do you let 18 fucking seconds go off the clock with 2 timeouts left when you have the ball deep in Wisconsin territory .. Go for the TD and end the fucking game. You don't play for OT, especially not in Madison when the Badgers have all the momentum

Yes I can have it both ways. Why not maximize the number of chances you have to score. I’m not even saying he has throw deep. Better timeout usage would have allowed you to keep running the ball.

On the one shot to the end zone before the field goal, it appeared they were hoping for a pass interference call to move the ball up and maybe take a shot for the win. Could be wrong. Our freshman WRs either need better coaching or more time to mature.

Chubba turns it over on a shut down field in the last two minutes and the board would be more livid.
You’d hear ohhh why didn’t he play for the tie blah blah blah.
The real issue I see was where was EJ for those crucial drives? Why were we hacking it across the yard when we were up 14-0 and stabbing them for 3-5 yards a carry? The game was lost after those two series after the 14-0 lead.

I agree that I would have reversed the philosophies (conservative last week, ballsy this week).

I'm just saying that if Chubba threw a pick at the end of regulation, every single NU message boarder would be burning up their keyboards with "TAKE THE FUCKING FG!!"

I would have went for the TD simply for the reason that I had a strong gut feeling that we had no shot in OT. So in my mind, the FG was useless. Wisconsin was obviously going to score a TD (they don't turn it over) and we weren't in OT.

But even if they'd got it, they'd have only had time for one snap tops before the field goal. You have to leave time for three snaps + a field goal
