Who coaches the QBs? I have never seen an entire QB room look so unprepared in my life. Satt should know what these guys can & can't execute and call plays accordingly. Not sure why so many on here are giving him a free pass when he has the track record he does for putting an offense on the field that churns out turnovers. "Oh, every single one of the QBs is abosolute shit", is pretty damn unlikely and is on the same level of excuse making that the taters were known for with Frost.

Firing Satterfield won’t fix the O problems moving forward anyway. Rhule himself is the problem with the offense, what in his history says he’d make a good hire after Satterfield? Our O staff in general is pathetic and it all starts with Rhule.

We of course need better players but good luck attracting them to that JV staff.

PJ Walker and Charlie Brewer are basically better than every QB we’ve had for the past decade so 🤷🏼‍♂️

Nebraska football is not making any changes at offensive coordinator any time soon. Huskers coach Matt Rhule made his stance known on how much he believes in OC Marcus Satterfield and the rest of the offense during a passionate Monday press conference ahead of the Wisconsin game Saturday night.
With just one win needed to qualify for a bowl game, something that hasn't happened at Nebraska since 2016, Rhule understands fans are fed up with a turnover-prone offense that hasn't been good enough.
The Huskers have an FBS-leading 27 turnovers on the year and are coming off a five-turnover day last Saturday against Maryland. Rhule himself is fed up and on Monday said he lies awake at night thinking about them.
But Nebraska's head coach wanted to make one thing clear on Monday: the turnover issue is on him and him alone.
The turnovers and perceived play-calling issues are not on Satterfield, and Rhule isn't thinking about making any changes to his coaching staff.
“The answer in life sometimes is always just to change everything, right? Players want to transfer. Everybody wants their head coach to fire everybody. Has that worked out here?" Rhule said. "Where has that worked out, just firing assistant coaches and coaches and coordinators? So we want the whole offense to start over again with a whole new language next year? I'm not doing that. That's ridiculous.”
Rhule is going to continue to run his program like he always has, treating it like a day-by-day organization with the goal of getting better over time.
“We're gonna get through year one, OK?” Rhule said. “Most of our guys on offense are coming back. We'll get better and better and better.”
As for Satterfield, Rhule noted the staggering amount of injuries the offense has had to endure. It's made life difficult when trying to craft a game plan with so many key players out, plus the inconsistencies at quarterback.
“Marcus is fighting and scratching and punching and willing to get this thing as good as we can get it,” Rhule said.
So, what's the answer? Rhule didn't have one. There might not be an answer this season.
“What's the answer? The answer is just to keep getting a little bit better as best I can and hope that this week we put it all together.”
Nebraska and Wisconsin are slated to kick off at 6:30 p.m. at Cam Randall Stadium.

That's like saying I'm rich because I won the lottery but I blew through it and now I'm poor again. The int Sims threw the guy was even near the play. He was sitting on his ass for God sakes.

There is no defense for his last call of the day Saturday. None what so ever. And if Rhule is saying he made that play call then fine. He isn't backing up what he's been preaching about complementary football either. I get that they have been dealt a shit hand like no other this year. Don't keep making it worse when you are in a position to win. I've refrained from posting a lot because that last offensive sequence Saturday has really got me down. It should have never happened the way it did and now all we get are excuses from Rhule. Not making me feel too hopeful to be honest. And not just for the remainder of this aborted season. I'll be quiet now after this.

Here's the thing that most fans just don't get. Rhule is building for the future. You don't get your OL, WR, TE, RB's ready for the future by choosing to call the most simplified version of play calling just because your QB's aren't up to snuff on every play. You can do that for a game (i.e. the Turman game) but when you're trying to build for the future, you can't hamper growth for everyone else. Truth of the matter is, each one of those QB's is capable of doing the right thing and making the right throw/read. They've each done it a time or two in the game, so you have to coach as though you believe that they're going to be capable of it.

Nebraska is passing less than Cockeye the past few weeks. If they keep passing less the run game will also disappear

Nothing Satterfield has done shows me he’s the right OC for the job. Especially given his history/resume.

However, it seems very easy to Monday morning quarterback right now. We’re nearly last in the country in pass attempts. We’re down to two healthy RBs - a RS freshman and another RB who bounces to the outside every play and has a fumbling issue. Our offense is decimated by injuries.

Our WRs struggle catching the ball even when the QB hits them.

Forgive me for being patient in the first year. I’m frustrated and I’ve cursed Satterfield for some of his play calls while watching. But I also understand it’s year one with a bare cupboard on offense.

Why does he need to say that? Without question, that will happen. Saying that completely throws your current QBs under the bus while still in season.
