Next year will go 1 of 2 ways..

Everything Turd did was to position him to fire Frost next year if he doesn’t make a bowl.

Ya know how I know Nebraska isn’t relevant, let alone a blue blood, anymore?

The AD had to maneuver to put himself in a position to fire a coach who has twice as many losses as wins over 5 seasons unless he hits .500 (for the first time) in year 6.

I think it’s incredibly likely they’re a worse team next year and decent chance it’s with a better record.

Although, at the end of the day, you are what your record says you are, which means this team sucked despite a lot of good component parts.

You’ve got to obviously be better in key areas to win 7. But what can’t happen is we get absolutely hammered in several games. Bad games happen. But I don’t think I’m game for a 6 or even a 7 win year if we get absolutely raped in the other 5. Going 3 + 3 (meaning you win 3 non con games and 3 conference games) with blowout losses to good teams ain’t cutting it.

I honestly think Turd wanted to fire Frost, but some of the heavy hitters money wise didn’t want to. Certain things you have heard Turd say doesn’t sound like he is a big Frost fan. I blame the big boosters more than anything because other big time schools especially in the south wouldn’t put up with it.

its the defining year, everyone will agree either way
Probably not though. If you told people before this year that Frost goes 3-9. I bet 95% of the fan base says we need to move on, but then we go 3-9 and people think there's still a debate. He will go 5-7 or something next year and we will be right back where we are now because of "progress"

Honestly, I think it will be tough to get to .500 next year, especially with the seniors that we are losing on defense. By losing Stille, Daniels, JoJo, Dismuke, and CTB and uncertainty around Deontre Thomas, I feel they were the reason why these games were close and not blowouts, however, we won't be the only one losing super seniors either. I know that new people will step up, but Scott needs to fix the OL and his feast or famine offense. I just never seen such wasted offensive talent wasted this year besides using Austin Allen correctly for once. I remembered we all laughed at Riley for paying Bruce Reed $450k to coach special teams, but his special teams were nowhere as bad as this.

Overall, I just wish there was something easy to point to, but there's not. The only good thing I've seen changed during Scott's tenure is that we now physically look like a BIG team vice how we did under Bo and Riley, but as others stated, the previous strength coaches were restricted on what they can do conditioning wise. At least we have a good volleyball team and the Bolt era has been surprisingly good so far.

I honestly think it has to do more with the body types Frost has recruited than strength and conditioning. Frost has recruited a lot of linemen who are much taller than what Pelini did for sure especially on the o line. I bet there isn’t much difference among BIG staffs with their strength programs.

What would Husker fans think of 7 wins with two blowout losses?
It has been a nice change of pace to not have a single weekend where we just get our asses kicked. I don’t love the change of pace, but better than getting schlonged 2-3 times a year.

So really the question is would Husker fans like to be raped by a gorilla dick 2-3 times a year OR have to take 8-9 micro penises

Yeah I don’t disagree. Nebraska apparently has some boosters who would honestly rather lose than move on from the past, which is unfortunate.

The coach shouldn’t be bigger than the program but if the coach is.

So whose the next former Nebraska guy we hire to resurrect the program?

Mike Minter: Campbell Fighting Camels HC. 39-52 in 9 years as their head coach. No longer a punching bag in the Big South.

John Parrella: former DL coach who rounded out his resume as the now head man at Lutheran West... high school.

Barron Miles: Montreal Alouettes DC and special teams stud.

Zac Taylor: Cincinnati Bengals HC but technically not a former Husker because he played for Callahan

I desperately wish your post was a joke but honestly it’s probably not

The one plus side is when we suck next year, I’ll ncaa football 23 to play and make up for it in my dynasty mode.

If we don't hire a good ST coach and a good OL coach then I don't see it being the latter.
