Alright, everyone can predict Nebraska’s football record, but what about the rest of CFB?

Who is going to the playoffs? Final four?

Who gets fired? Who steps down? Who takes over for what?

Let’s hear them; what’s your guesses on what happens this year?

My prediction: Cignetti does get Indiana nearly to the playoffs, Auburn fires Freeze, and hires Cignetti.

My final 4 is Oregon, Ohio St, Georgia and Clemson

Other playoff teams are Penn St, Bama, Miami, Texas, ASU,

I don't have a great feeling on the last 3 playoff teams, but I think the Big 12 is a 1 bid league again.

Wisconsin crumbles under an extremely difficult schedule, fires #2ndChoice and hires…ohhh…let’s say Ron Dayne.
Yeah, but I think Wisconsin fans are expecting a brutal record due to their schedule, so my guess is that he is retained this season.

I think it is in all of our best interest that Miami and Texas Tech fail spectacularly this year

I think it is in the name of justice that Michigan begin a long downward spiral this year.

I think the usual suspects group of top teams are vulnerable based on so many having unproven QBs. (OSU, Oregon, Texas, Georgia, Alabama) In the past you could grind out a year with a suspect QB and luckily avoid a loss but now the path to the championship requires more games against top opponents than then. The likelihood of navigating 13/14/15 games with suboptimal QB is in my opinion impossible.

This will be the year fans wake up to the fact that college sports is attempting to milk them dry. Especially at Nebraska when fans arrive at the stadium looking for a runza or a slice of Val's and find a $12 dyed red hot dog. Fans across the country are being asked to constantly dig deeper into the pockets and open their wallets yet again. (Tickets, stadiums, parking, NIL, donations, streaming services, fan days, merch and special travel games) Something has got to give.

Agreed on your Cignetti-Auburn take actually. I've seen that coming too

My top 12 is
Miami
Ohio State
Texas
USC
Penn State
Utah
Alabama
Georgia
LSU
Army/Navy Winner
Arizona State

I think Oregon, Auburn, and Tennessee disappoint. Texas Tech too if that counts. They've already got a ton of injuries
Surprise teams are Duke, Baylor, Army, Navy, and Miami. I could see an undefeated Miami becoming the story of the year

Big turnover:
Tennessee: Heupel > Beamer
Auburn: Freeze > Cignetti
South Carolina: Beamer > Sumrall
Indiana: Cig > Matt Campbell
Cockeye State: Campbell > ? Its a shitty job
Arkansas: Pittman > Malzahn? Muschamp? Terrible job
Kentucky: Stoops > Jon Gruden. not joking, this is a terrible job. Everyone says summrall but theres zero support here

Rhule flirts with UT and Auburn and gets an extension out of it.

What’s his buy out?
Pretty high I’d imagine so they are going to be stuck with him and things will just get worse

I think a few of these HC will end up on the "Norvell Plan" of dumping comparatively less money into coordinators than buying the HC out

eh $70mm at an ACC school is a different story. Heupel is in the $30s and Stoops is low $40s. Freeze at $20 feels obvious

I think Stoops is coasting now but I feel like if he's 4-8 they have to part ways somehow. Maybe the Indiana job if Cig leaves?

Also think this is the year Kirk and Phil Parker retire

I'm gonna say these guys get fired:
  • Napier - replaced by Gruden, yes Gruden
  • Pittman - replaced by Lashlee
  • Freeze - replaced by Sumrall
  • Ferentz "retires" - replaced by Stoops
  • Stoops - replaced by new basketball practice gyms or Brent Key
  • Norvell - replaced by Shane Beamer
  • #2ndChoice - replaced by Fitzgerald
  • McGuire - replaced by AI purchased after Double Eagle Development sells more assets in the Permian
Final Four: Alabama, Penn State, Ohio State, Texas

BRUTAL schedule, better win the first two
  • Miami (OH)
  • Middle Tenn
  • @ Alabama
  • Maryland
  • @ Michigan
  • Cockeye
  • Ohio State
  • @ Oregon
  • Washington
  • @ Indiana
  • Illinois
  • @ Minnesota
They could legitimately go 3-9 or 2-10
