Year One of Rhule. What’s Acceptable to you? Call it.

Number of losses that are acceptable in year one:
8
Losses to which teams are acceptable in year one:
All B10 teams + Colorado
Acceptable record in year one:
> 4-8
The ONE thing you will be looking for this year that makes it acceptable:
Any of these would be great:

Turnover margin > +0.5
Avg. starting field position > 29.5 yard line
Opp avg. starting field position < 26 yard line
Yards per point < 13.5
Def yards per point > 15.5
Def yards per rush < 3.8
Off RZ scoring efficiency > 5.4 pts/per RZ att
Def RZ scoring efficient < 4.6 pts/per RZ att
3rd down defense < 37%
3rd down offense > 43%

(If they meet every one of those metrics they’ll be in a NY6 bowl)

Win 2 games and improve all season. I’m a big husker fan just like the rest of us here but I just don’t think this is a talented team. Man, I hope I am wrong and we rip off 6 or even 8 wins. I will be cheering regardless.

2 wins would be absolutely beyond pathetic with this roster and this schedule. Give me a break

Me…

Number of Losses: 7

Switching it to unacceptable: LaTech, Northern Illinois, Colorado, Northwestern, Cockeye

Acceptable record in year one: 5-7

The One thing: The eye test. We play good football with what we have.
4-8 is the floor, below that is unacceptable
5-7 would be disappointing
6-6 is expected
7-5 is possible
8+ wins is fricking outstanding

So losing to Colorado is acceptable? I can’t get on board with that.

It’s an away game vs. a P5 team with several unknowns. What’s our road record vs. P5 been the past 5/10/20 years?

The line is less than 10. Statistically there’s almost a 1/3 chance we lose. Why call a loss in that situation unacceptable?

I’m tired of justifying and making excuses for coaches/players. Bowl game or I’m disappointed again

I had the (dumb) thought the other night that 2023 could be 2008 where Bo turned around a haphazard shit tier defense into something respectable, rattled off 9 wins no one expected, and rubbed his ballz on Dabo's face, but I think that idea doesn't give enough credit to Scrote Fraud's total failure to build a competitive power 5 roster.
