Yant

His problem lies beneath the stocking hat. He gets that right, he'd be a great back.
Unique physical talent. As a DB I would not want to tackle that in the open field. Hope everything clicks for him mentally. It would be great if Ron Brown could work some of his magic on him with his issues.

I really hope that I'm wrong, but with all the smoke with his off the field issues, I've already moved on from Yant and assuming that he won't be a factor in the fall. Again, I hope I'm wrong. I love what he brings to the table physically...just hope he can put it all together.

Thats a fucking load right there for some poor DB to try to bring down. Who was that small 5-8 DB we had a few years back, Mitchell? Yant would break him in half
the bookster would not back down.... he would just wait for one of his teammates to make the play, jump on the pile late, then celebrate like it was all him.

Welp that picture settles it. Doak Walker time.

If Ron Brown could "work some of his magic" then why hasn't he already? Held stopping Ron from doing that? Doubtful.

I agree with the hope of getting whatever his issues are worked out and would love for him to become a big contributor but we might be waiting for something that is just never gonna happen here. There is a reason that we have brought in a JUCO runner, more HS recruits and tried to get Deondre Jackson. There was also a reason that Yant had to walk on in the first place. If anything, this dude may have missed his true shot last year, because it appears that the coaches have moved on in a way. (not to mention that Frost doesn't really have any time left to see if Yant can figure it out)

I'd like to say that this will get settled in the spring but we're told that last spring. Then settled in the summer, but we were told that last summer. Fall camp? No again. Non-conference schedule. Nope. Big 10 play? Still a grab bag.

To me, that is Applewhite's biggest job right now. Get a hierarchy established so we can move forward.
