Three-time NCAA Qualifier Chance Lamer will join the Nebraska wrestling program as a transfer with one year of eligibility remaining, Nebraska Head Coach Mark Manning announced this week.

Originally from Corvallis, Ore., Lamer holds a career record of 62-25, as he spent the last two seasons at Cal Poly and his first two years at Michigan. Not only has he qualified for the NCAA tournament three-straight seasons, but he has placed second and third at the Pac-12 Championship tournament.

Lamer’s career record is 6-6 at the NCAA tournament, highlighted by a Round of 12 appearance in 2022-23 as he earned three upset victories. Additionally, in both tournament and dual matches the last three years, Lamer has earned seven pins, 15 tech. falls and 10 major decisions.

Lamer is a four-time Oregon high school state champion, winning at 145 (2021), 126 (2020), 113 (2019) and 106 (2018). He posted a 146-6 record in high school helping his team to three-straight team titles. Lamer finished fifth at the 2018 Cadet freestyle world championships in Zagreb, Croatia, and is a two-time Fargo cadet finalist.

Interesting move.

For sure thought Brock would move up. His walking weight is close to 160. Also appears manning isn’t keen on robertsen taking the reins yet. Also, Incoming 149 zinkin is a stud.

Vandee will stay at 133
Trelly is not moving from 157
Minto and LJ probably will go to 165/174
Minto struggled at times to get to 165, income Tyler eise could challenge them
Silas will stay at 184
McDaniel at 197
Cade will be our hwt

125
imo is our biggest question mark. We got kael, Kohlers not bad, hockaday could slide down but coming off acl surgery. As much as I love his energy I don’t see abdi being a factor for a whole.

Still wish we could’ve convinced Trumble to transfer home. Would be nice to not get our shit packed in by every top HWT. Am I mistaken or wasn’t Kael beating smith before the season? Why isn’t he a lock at 125?

Cade imo is/will be the best hwt we’ve had in a while. I think Cade could beat Isaac.

The there’s hesitations judging the kael smith match.

I do know most of the year, koehler was ahead of kael on their big board.
