I fell asleep at U2's concert a few years ago. Their new shit sucks and it was like 8,000 degrees in the CHI.
I walked out of a U2 concert at Jack Murphy Stadium in 1997. I was floored how bad they sounded.

Rage Against The Machine opened for them and CRUSHED it. Was the first time I had ever paid attention to them. After a couple years though, I got tired of them because it seems like every one of their songs had the same music but with different lyrics. 🤌 But live, they were incredible.

Went to that show in Tempe because I won tickets from a Tucson radio station. You were supposed to play a game over the air to upgrade your U2 experience and I told them 'no thanks, only going to see Rage'.

My buddy(also a RATM fan) and I left half way through U2.

Proud of you that you don't let politics affect your music.

For me Dave Matthew's Band at Sacramento amphitheater. I like them ok but they came out for 3 different encores. I was good with none.
😂

That was like 15 years ago before he REALLY REALLY went off the left deep end. No way I’d spend money on him now. Stood in line while I was a student at UNL back in the 80s trying to get tickets for the Born In The USA tour and still ended up in the nose bleed section!😉

NGL U2 and RATM is an odd pairing

U2 is the most over ratted band in history.

Did you guys hear Nelly the other night during some football game? Think it was Texas?

Just a bunch of yell talking.
Here's one, I saw him perform back at halftime of an Omaha Nighthawks game, back when that league was making horrible financial decisions like that.

You can imagine how pumped the crowd was after watching him and about a half dozen hype men yell about half the lyrics, skip the other half, and shout random inanities throughout.

Went to see Nelly in his “prime” in 2001 when I was in college and it was pretty bad. That next summer I was doing an internship at Sweet 98 and he was the headliner for their summer music fest. He again was awful.

No but I saw Nelly at halftime of a Omaha Nighthawks game back in the day and he was pretty good then
Omg maybe we sat by each other

I went to “Summer Jam” here in Denver a few times, which is basically a bunch of random rappers. Some are terrible.

My buddy in high school’s cousin is the drummer for the Killers. We went one year at Red Rocks and Brandon Flowers had a sore throat so canceled after one song. That sucked.

When I lived in Omaha after college, went to "Rockfest" in Council Bluffs with Kid Rock, Everlast, Buck Cherry, and some other shitty bands. We went there to hang out with sluts and get wasted but subjected ourselves to terrible music. Everlast was OK but Kid Rock did his fake tough guy persona and was a terrible live act as the headliner.

The main thing I remember about that was some fat guy passing out in the porta potty. The event security team had to drag him out and his pants were down with a huge #2 in tow.

Warped Tour

In think I went in 2006 when it was in Denver

It was a lot of fun but also tiresome and there were so many potheads and fuckin' weirdos runnin' around. No matter how much I showered i still felt dirty for a few days afterward
Lame. Warped was great back then. Keep hoping they resurrect it with the success of the When You Were Young Fest
