Yeah. Mary says Sitka.

I see you’re tying flies to catch big fish.
I’m always tying 12 and 14s. Next batch is 16s.
All in on grayling.
Might have to meet up at Peter’s Creek this summer. I like to tie nymphs and Stillwater leeches but both are tough by candlelight.

I’m all about dry flies nowadays.
Parachute adams and elk hair caddis.
They’re so fun to catch with. 4wt for the win. Ha
I still tie enough buggars for the native trouts around.

We have a blizzard warning even though it’s sunny out. The wind is around 60 mph and we have about 40 inches of ridiculously dry snow. I haven’t had power for 5 hours but I’ve been #blessed with nature’s cooler so plenty of cold beer.
At what point do you start worrrying about heat? I’m presuming you’ve got wood burning options, but still …

Hope the wind dies down for you, amigo. Stay safe & warm. Merry Christmas!

Anybody from the Green is cool.

Guess my wife is in. Half of her, anyway.

I’m in an apartment but hopefully buying in the spring. The market wasn’t kind when we moved. I have a big buddy heater that runs off propane if we need it and some zero degree sleeping bags.

I remember you telling me about the elk hair caddis. I have a 4 weight fiberglass rod for dry flies but I’ve only used it on the Russian river. There are some really good hatches there in June and July.

The Big Buddy heaters are awesome. I keep one in the camper and one in the truck. You never know.

Semi-related: I was in the vacinity of a very large liquor store in Sioux Falls at around noon on Weds, with the blizzard warnings going into effect at 6p that night. The parking lot was fucking packed, and it stayed that way the entire time I was eating my sandwich across the street. I guess people know their priorities.

TBH, I'm only 1/8th Swedish, but the other 7/8ths going back 150 years were in the green. My last name is the german spelling of a Swedish surname, so maybe more Swedish than that.

I'm not sure why chrome auto capitalizes Swedish but not german, though.

Take it to the outdoors thread, bronies. Just kidding. I actually like how threads on tPB get hijacked often.

Let's keep it positive. At least you could get to the doors if you needed to.
It’s pretty light snow so wouldn’t be too hard to just shovel a path. Problem is that path would disappear in minutes. It will clear all the snow off the lakes which will be fantastic for avoiding overflow while ice fishing.
