Why dont we try to return punts?

They have an inability to set up a wall on punt returns. It's like a sieve for the opponent's gunners and folks coming up the middle. So not the returner's fault but that of our PR team in general.

Kickoffs are another story. I've seen my share where they run when they shouldn't and pass up the ones where they have real estate.

Just another chapter in bad special teams.

The kick return unit looked good IYAM. There was 2 I thought that had a chance for a big return.

The opening kick was away from where the return was set. IIRC, but I could be wrong.

You just inserted a wild card in your ability to assess logic. Someone was making the special teams decisions, then someone else made a decision.

Oliver Martin needs to go away. Whether it's alligator-arming a pass that leads to an interception or avoiding a punt that gets downed at the 1, what does he bring to the table that resembles anything positive?

Nothing he could do about that punt. Agree with everything else. That's the weirdest shit him not going for the ball in those situations. Twice is enough to make a pattern when they're that bad.
