We're not doing the single digit uniform thing again are we?

Anyway, more importantly when are they handing out the Blackshirts? ☠️ I remember posters losing their shit about it on the RRS and now you hardly hear anything about it.
Because we're done playing games with the tradition and back to doing it the way it should be: handing them out to defensive starters the week of the first game. Nothing to lose our shit about anymore.

I'll say this though it's better than Hip, Hip, Hooray as far as traditions go.

My hottest take it that I liked when Bo would hand them out after someone had a good game mid season.

It’s so embarrassing to hand them out in Fall camp and then get bent by 1-11 northwestern in Ireland

I am all for it even though the players have seemed to make a couple head scratching decisions the first 2 seasons

It’s lame in that the O LINE cannot even receive it.

But I do like that it puts very public pressure on certain guys to be leaders
Even people outside of the program respect it. I was watching a video from an Eagles fan about Ty Robinson and that was one of the things that they brought up - he was a single digit guy for Rhule...and that is meaningful.

Yea they have made it boring now. It used to be fun to watch the coaches faces when someone like Sip, Fat Sam or Dean would inevitability ask about them at the most inopportune time.

And now the question is, what do you weirdos hate more? The single digit thing or the Raiola/Mahomes cosplay? Cause now you're in a conundrum.
Hahah great question. I would enjoy seeing Raiola switch over to #9 or whatever and show up with a buzzcut. Give the internet one less thing to shit on us for.

Im voting he kicks out Hartzog and takes 7. Then shows up with a nice short spike haircut straight out of 2001 for his Heisman ceremony.

......

I also just don't agree with the premise that single digit numbers are inherently cooler or "tougher" than double digits. haha
Ask any QB if he'd rather be sacked by some DL wearing #1 or the snarling, fire breathing maniac, smelling of piss, sweat and vinegar wearing #99, and he'll choose the single digit guy every time. Probably the biggest disservice we did to Ty and Nash was not make them wear #90...something.

Simply my own opinion, and I don't mean to be stuck on this time period, but I stopped caring about the old traditions when Frost was fired. That "celebration of the 90s" door kinda closed for me when he got cut loose. Personally don't care if we have single digits at this point, blackshirts, alternate uniforms, Mahomes look a like, whatever. Just win, whatever that looks like.

However, I will die on the hill that the tunnel walk remains untouched forever.
