For the life of me I don't understand what is going on with the transfers. We are at 86 scholarships right now.

Also, we are still bringing in transfers into rooms that seem full. The DB and WR rooms are full full full.

Not sure what the strategy is here or the way they'll put it together to have success in the fall. I just don't see how turning the roster into a chop shop helps you develop a unified "team".
Didn’t work for Fred, did it?

This whole “Let’s get a locker room full of hired guns” thing has the potential to go one of two ways. Good news is that these boys will have all summer together to hopefully do a little bonding as they sweat their asses off during summer workouts.

There’s no doubt in my mind that the talent level has been raised. Now…….fingers crossed that they can truly come together as some version of a successful “team”.

Oh, and a little “p.s.”……..I still think that this Northwestern game in Ireland is the dumbest GD idea that anyone in our AD’s office has come up with in who knows how long. Stooooooopid

wasn't Joshua Moore committed to Riley/Nebraska and then when Frost was hired his coaching staff ignored him? If that was him I doubt he would want to come back to a coach who already Big Timed him once before.
I don't think Frost "Big Timed" him. Moore was an elite recruit. The rumor that I heard was that when Frost came aboard, he was advised to move on from Moore for cultural issues. I had heard that on his visit, Moore spent a bit too much time partying, so people told Frost that he wasn't worth the headache. No idea how much truth there is to that and I can't even remember where I heard that from...

That was certainly the rumor. Crazy enough, Moore got hammered with a gun charge in Austin the next year.

I think Moore would have been good to have here. But honestly, a lot of the Keith Williams kids he was in on ended up not being good character dudes. I don’t blame anyone for moving on from him. However, we can’t justify taking Mo Washington and passing on Moore. So it’s all kind of interesting.

I dunno I worry about any kid coming from that was processed out to help fix that Texas culture.

Don’t know if he was an issue but makes you wonder.

This is a "mischaracterization." Washington was pushed out because Texas needed extra scholarship room to accommodate the additions of two freak receivers in Isaiah Neyor from Wyoming and Agiye Hall from Alabama. They are also in play for Addison from Pitt. Although it would be funny if their NIL group can't get its shit together with him either. The UT NIL group has pumped a few Million into Ewers, and he may not even earn the starting job as Hudson Card has been better throughout the Spring.

As for Washington, he's similar in skill set and talent to Alonzo Moore. And he would be a valuable player for Nebraska. There is absolutely nothing wrong with his behavior, attitude, work ethic, or academics.

I wouldn't want a single offensive linemen or defensive player from Texas, not a one. But their receivers and running backs have been dramatically better than Nebraska the last few years.

Was thinking this exact thing last night. Reminds me of Zo.

I belIeve Dylan Edwards as well
Don't hold your breath on Dylan Edwards becoming a Husker, no matter how much Kool Aide Dean serves to his Sheople on RSS. Word on the street is it's a 2 Horse Race right now, Oklahoma & Kansas St. He is a big fan of Oklahoma and I believe his dad played at Kansas St. Kid could be a very good player as he has the speed and athletic ability. Not trying to be negative on him as I would love to add him to our class but looks like we have an uphill battle on our hands.

Exactly this

I jumped into the Dylan thread on the scrolls just to stir the pot a little. Too easy…….🤣

As someone who has coordinated a defense that was torched by Dylan Edwards when he was a sophomore I can vouch for his speed. But I think there is very very little chance he ends up at Nebraska. Better chance he does than Avery Johnson, but not by much.

This happened with Betts on his OV here fwiw. He got hammered and had to be carried to his room at the cornhusker hotel. It was quite the scene.

Just get a Gosh Dang coach that's worth a shit! We got the transfers plus what we have on roster to make it work. Now if we can get a fuckin offensive line to protect Thompson for 3 seconds, we just might have something.
