A billion trees worth? The Big Ten was already looking at a $1 billion TV contract. You add the L.A. market and these two schools.....now what is it worth?

AdaptWhy do they have to ?
Why do they have to ?
Adapt
Migrate
Die
“Adapting” to this environment is not going to happen, even for a university with a brand as strong as ND.
“Migrating” to a conference makes the most sense.
“Dying”, regrettably, isn’t going to happen here.
“Migrate” it is then.
I agree with your premise but the stakes just got raised substantially. This will reignite the arms race. The reason I’m skeptical is that we’ve been saying ND will join a conference for the last 15 years and it’s not happened. We’ll see here. But I wouldn’t be surprised if they found a way to duck a conference.
I don't think they ever will. It would have to be in their best interests and as of now, they have all the advantages they want as an Independent. The reason I’m skeptical is that we’ve been saying ND will join a conference for the last 15 years and it’s not happened. Texas and Texas A&M are off the table and I doubt the Big 10 would ever consider SMU or Texas Tech.I feel like TCU Alums are like 5th fiddle in the DFW area. It’s just anecdotal, but I’d say:
Texas/Texas A&M
Baylor
SMU
TCU/Tech
But I might be biased because I live on the Dallas side.
Also...
Calibraska is back. Someone get Chaz on the phone, tell him to look up the Calabasas High School football schedule and to charge his Prius

If conferences banded together and said they will no longer schedule them, that would be their impetus to join. However, no one is giving up their ND home and home payday.
And it's either the Big 10 or the SECI tend to agree, but if conferences have 20+ teams, would out-of-conference games still exist? At that point, ND would have to be in a conference.
There's a near complete Venn diagram overlap between these people and the people who think Frost is a victim of circumstance.Remember how some husker fans wanted to go back to the Big 12 after Covid? Lol
