I thought you loved Turd?Could possibly be the dumbest decision of his career
If that's true, just burn the whole thing down and hire the entire athletic department from another school where no one has even seen the state of Nebraska.I heard smoke that we had Campbell on the hook and all of a sudden backed out to keep frost... true ? Anyone?
There like a .001% chance it's true.If that's true, just burn the whole thing down and hire the entire athletic department from another school where no one has even seen the state of Nebraska.
This is 100% true yesIf that's true, just burn the whole thing down and hire the entire athletic department from another school where no one has even seen the state of Nebraska.
Yea after the Pollard bs, I don’t think we’re dumb enough to give ISU any more ammoThere like a .001% chance it's true.
No inside info but I think you gotta define what "on the hook" means.I heard smoke that we had Campbell on the hook and all of a sudden backed out to keep frost... true ? Anyone?

the wheels for replacing Frost were all in motion until that miserable Tom Osborne got involved and started putting pressure on the boosters. They have no backboneNo inside info but I think you gotta define what "on the hook" means.
Do you mean we called Campbell to gauge his interest? I'm sure someone from NU did that.
If you mean NU started sourcing money and drawing up contracts for Campbell and sourcing money for Frost's buyout etc... that seems unlikely. It seems obvious that Alberts didn't have the full coalition of booster $$ behind this. Turd would have known that from an early stage - there's no reason to go too far down the rabbit hole with Campbell if Alberts knows his $$$ men aren't all in support of it.
Oh. Fuck.the wheels for replacing Frost were all in motion until that miserable Tom Osborne got involved and started putting pressure on the boosters. They have no backbone
It's true. Jim Pillen, Tim Claire, T.O...... and the rest of the members of the Tradition Coalition have controlled too much for far too long. If the coach or AD doesn't fit with what they want then they are gone. Outsiders are generally not welcomed or supported by them.Oh. Fuck.
I was hoping/assuming that the "TO meddled in this" was just message board hyperbole. I didn't think an 84 yr old on death's doorstep would still have the desire to backchannel shit like this.
If this is true, it's the most depressing thing I've read in quite some time. I really thought people were exaggerating the TO effect here.
Thank you for this. Question for you: does the TC have a limit RE: Frost? Like if he goes 5-7 in 2022 do we all have to suffer through more Frost in 2023? Isn't the TC embarrassed by NU/Frost being the laughingstock of CFB? I get that they want a local Osborne guy to have success here but they are all also presumably Husker FB fans too! I don't know many Husker fans who enjoy watching their team get their shit pushed in every game on national TV. The TC must get off on that however. It's true. Money was there for the Buy Out of Frost. I know of some boosters who were willing to write some substantial checks to help cover some of Frost's contract but they were out powered. Our big boosters are divided as many wanted Frost gone, some after season 3. But Tradition Coalition has the power with Turd. University powers have to honor them also because if Pillen is elected Governor he has plenty of say in how the university is run and financed. With TO's public blessing Pillen is probably a shoe in to win the election. Sad that they are putting their own personal gains and agenda over what is best for the football program.
So our fanbase is divided and so are our big Boosters. A couple of them are very frustrated with the state of our program, and not sure how much they will be donating as long as Tradition Coalition continues to control things.
I have no idea. TO & the TC'ers are very loyal to their own so who knows what lengths they will go to. 4 years of record futility for Losing hasn't stopped them from protecting one of their own. Without their approval of a replacement coach he won't stand a chance of being here long. Their track recrods show that outsider AD's & Coaches dare not go against their wishes if they want to be employed here for more than 3-4 yearsThank you for this. I'm seriously asking.
Heard the same thing. Money was set aside and everything….or so i heard.I heard smoke that we had Campbell on the hook and all of a sudden backed out to keep frost... true ? Anyone?
Campbell might be the 4th best coach in the big 12. Give me some Gundy.I heard smoke that we had Campbell on the hook and all of a sudden backed out to keep frost... true ? Anyone?
We'll be so much better off when the TC starts croaking. It's true. Jim Pillen, Tim Claire, T.O...... and the rest of the members of the Tradition Coalition have controlled too much for far too long.
