I would say our margin for error with the WRs is razor thin this year. I think we've got a good starting core group, but behind them things get dicey in a hurry. And practically our whole RB room has a history of injuries, which doesn't exactly inspire confidence. And of course losing your starting QB is pretty much always a Bad Thing™.

The only receiver I’m sold on is Toure. Manning could go off the rails anytime and Betts has potential but seems lazy.

Why could Manning go off the rails at any time? You appear to know the situation. So why would you say that his issues aren’t behind him and they could pop up again?

I’ve heard it from multiple people on Betts. Maybe they are full of shit. I’m not going to buy into the Manning hype until he plays. He seemed to have a lot of problems last year that prevented him from playing. The potential is there, but we know that doesn’t mean anything. They need to prove it. At this point I have the most faith in Toure since he has played good ball even though it was at a lower level.

Go talk to fans or read any Husker message board. Like I said the potential is there. Let’s see it play out. I’ll believe it when I see it. The offensive line is the whole key anyways. If they don’t improve drastically we are fucked.

Yeah, the high potential for losing Manning is part of what I was referring to. And I doubt Betts will be a starter at the beginning of the season for that reason, I think Martin is probably a safer bet.

Yeah, the high potential for losing Manning is part of what I was referring to. And I doubt Betts will be a starter at the beginning of the season for that reason, I think Martin is probably a safer bet.

Theres really not much left to be said about individual players. But since we’re on the subject, I’ve asked specifically about Omar a couple of times and it sounds like his issues are in the past. Now, we’ll see what that looks like when camp starts and as pressure starts to rise again I suppose.

I really wish Wandale would have stayed if those receivers do why they are suppose to do because he would have been a good compliment to them this year.

@B1G_10_Tony Maybe start by not doing it over the phone. That's considered pretty low in almost any industry, especially with a guy who has given over thirty years of his life to the institution that you just recently became a part of. And maybe don't do it immediately after they win a national championship, without so much as a congratulations or giving the players a chance to savor the moment. Thats the thing… he was always suppose to be a complimentary piece and not the whole show. If we are as improved as we could be there this year the people who basically made this choice for him will look like morons. That’s not to say they aren’t morons already.
