This morning I’d like to draw attention to Gabe Ervin’s run on 2nd and 3 to bring us to 1st and Goal.

Jenkins lined up as a blocking TE with two TEs attached.

Life gets a lot easier when you get this type of a push.

How far will Colorado’s shitty defenders bounce on plays like this?

I posted this in the Vegas odds thread but it belongs here

The CU DL and LBs suck at run defense. The secondary is okay, but the front is terrible, at least in the TCU game. This is everyone with more than 8 run snaps on D. The team run defense grade was 44.4 - that is absolutely off the charts horrible. It was the second worst run defense grade in the P5 in game one - Okie St had 41.5 We really ought to be running down the field at will by midway in the 3rd if not sooner.

I haven’t looked at stats but it sure seemed like AG played a hell of a lot more than Irvin. What was up with that?

Wish in situations like this, they would go hurry up and call a similar play.

Ervin is a physical freak, but AG is by far the better runner.
This...Gabe is really good when things go right infront of him. That is when he can get going and his physical attributes can take over.

Grant has better vision and feel for where to run.

I would say Rahmir has a better feel for the running game than Gabe.

Give Ervin the ball 20-25 times on Saturday. Get big on the line. PAP. Hold on to the fuckin ball and we walk outta there 1-1, should be 2-0, and everyone is okay again.

If I see Grant out there more than a handful of times, I am going to throw my TV into the street. I do not care what he does this week in practice. Tired of giving guys chances when they fail in big moments and there are multiple options at a position.

I can’t say I agree on the grant part. All I recall him doing last year was running outside. I get he didn’t have holes but I still think he wasn’t that great with vision

That is what you call Duo right there.

By the end of the play not a single OL (save for Cork who’s man had fanned out) was on the other side of the LOS.

Minnesota isn’t 2009 Nebraska as far as DL goes. But they’re certainly a team that will likely end up in the top half of the ones we will play in that category.

Wonder how many plays that occurred on all of last year.

I really liked what I saw out of Jenkins and the potential we have there with him.
Vrzal was saying JEJ might be the best pure OL we have. He says JEJ's problem is that he's actually only 5'11" (listed at 6'1"). But he says that's ridiculous, he would never care about that if he was a coach, citing Aaron Graham being really short and he was great.

I think they’ll put more bodies up on the LOS against us this Saturday than they did against TCU’s spread tempo last Saturday but what do i know

I never sat down and watched the whole husker game.

I did watch the entire TCU v Colorado game.

I suspect Colorado will play a ton of 0 and 1 and play 9 man boxes. You have to be extremely patient this week with the run. Work the clock rules to your favor. Colorado has the ability to run 90-100 plays of offense if you can't stay on the field.

Well we know that is going to happen for sure. They will stack the line and dare us to pass. We should have some wide open receivers. Hopefully Sims doesn’t shit himself.
