Those 3 are also the only Freshmen in the top 80, and 2 of the 3 redshirted their first year.

I went over lockers a little last night and it seems like most consistent kickers that played their freshman year had a fairly consistent freshman season.

Hardly any had a bad freshman season then turned it around to be a quality field goal kicker.
Sure there are outliers like Drew Brown, but doesn’t appear to be the norm

Having a mental game for that also is technical and may require outside training.

They have sports psychologists for all of the athletes at the university.

Looking at career stats, it appears about half of the kickers were starters as Freshmen and the other half got the job later.

Between Foley’s instate recruiting and improved STs, he definitely is a good coach for Nebraska.

Improved STs? Wut?

Zero return game in either phase except ONE decent KO return the entire season. Multiple fumbles in returns. Barely even attempted punt returns

Coverage teams were fairly decent.

Punting was atrocious and inconsistent all year and Alvano 8/13.

Yeah, I completely forgot about that special team. We did have a couple blocks this year so that’s good. Not sure how it compares to the past tho and don’t care to look
