He’ll need to work with specialists in the off season to correct his accuracy. It won’t be easy to improve, but it’s very possible if he wants to spend the money on those specialists.Someone smarter than me should tell me if he can improve

That’s where NIL comes in handy. The power is there
How well off is the Alvano family?
Obviously Brown had the money to fix his woes but he never had the power me Alvano does
Between Foley’s instate recruiting and improved STs, he definitely is a good coach for Nebraska.Should we be pointing fingers at Foley?

Yeah today his miss he didn't trust his technique. He was kicking into the wind and tried to kick it harder vs trusting his technique.Of course. He's a freshman kicker.
This. I believe all but one of his misses this year from recollection was kicking into the wind. Todays kick was definitely him trying to kick it harder, looked like a ballerina the way he was spinning around.Yeah today his miss he didn't trust his technique. Kid is talented, but if you don't do it under the lights it doesn't matter.

It's not a technique issue. Just a mental issue. Kicking in front of 90,000 fans in person and another half a million on TV that talk about you all the time is a little different than highschool. The power is there

That's who I'd been thinking about too. Would love to see him get to that level. But people gotta remember he's just a freshman too.We wanted to run drew brown out of town year one and then he turned out the best we had since Maher/Henry. Give the kid time but bring in competition to push him and let the best man win
Not true, going by FG%, 3 of the top 10 are Freshmen, any recruited and scholarship kicker is expected to start from day 1. The growth and development of a kicker in college is less between Freshman and Senior years than other positions. He's a stud talent with a great future if he can get his mind right.
True freshman starting kickers are rare for a reason. I understand why he was out there, but I was hoping Bleekrode would get the job this year while Alvano got his feet under himself, so to speak.
Probably not. If he regressed from being perfect in high school to what we are looking at now I'd go with no. The 40 some yarder that he kicked yesterday wasn't even close.Someone smarter than me should tell me if he can improve
Having a mental game for that also is technical and may require outside training. It's not a technique issue. Just a mental issue. Kicking in front of 90,000 fans in person and another half a million on TV that talk about you all the time is a little different than highschool.
Those 3 are also the only Freshmen in the top 80, and 2 of the 3 redshirted their first year. Not true, going by FG%, 3 of the top 10 are Freshmen, any recruited and scholarship kicker is expected to start from day 1.
