Trae Taylor transferring to Millard South

I'll tell you why. It's just my opinion.

This ,once again, is Nebraska trying to get ahead of the curve. Adapt or die. Be out ahead of everyone in recruiting. Marketing. "Branding" (fucking barf)

But, we've been down this road countless times. I remember the worthless power point game changing "NIL" thing we were supposedly first at doing in the country. All buzzwords no substance. Then we buffed recruiting by having a "collective". Then we had two collectives. You probably don't remember the second one. Because one year later we consolidated it to 1890. Once again us being at the forefront of recruiting strategy. Lately we've shuttered 1890 and are going "in house". The buzzwords get reinvented.

None of this shit usually has fuck all to do with actual football.

We do all this new wave shit and Cockeye doesn't then we play actual football and Cockeye wins by 30.

When is Nebraska gonna concentrate on football?
Recruiting good players is a part of college football

I am going to continue dying on this hill. Trae Taylor is the single most important recruit Nebraska has had in the past 25 years.
Maybe Suh, imo, would be the only other one. I say this not just because he almost won the Heisman, but he basically led us to what should have been our last conference title. On top of that he's donated a lot of $ back to the program.

He’s going to be a 4 time Heisman winner

I wish people would just shut up about the “Nebraska way”

Nebraska way changes from context to context and who you talk too.
F the Nebraska Way the only way I care about it the way to win

Hell it’s arguably the reason we have been middle to bottom of the pack for 20 years

Yes Ik the opinion of a poor like me doesn’t matter.

Now with that said, I in general don’t like the whole transferring of high schools. The sense of home town pride is no longer there.
This is an issue that goes beyond just sports and starts with the lawmakers in Lincoln
Is it ok if I still cheer for the team that just kicked our asses? Like some cuck sitting in the corner?

Not disagreeing with you, but many individuals said the same thing about Fatrick Ravioli.
I couldn't tell you the thread I said it in, but, I said when Trae committed that he had the potential to be the most important recruit over Raiola. This is mainly because the timeline with Trae's earlier commitment actually allows him to have influence in peer recruiting. I've been saying this since day 1 of Trae Taylor committing.

Thankfully, Trae looks as N as you can possibly be these days, but I sure wish Nebraska would give Trae a little help in the peer recruiting dept. We ain’t making it easy for the kid 🫤

If Dannen was the AD still you’re probably right, but he’ll be out the door shortly before Rhule.

Turd hired Rhule not Dannen. He should get a shot to hire the next football coach if it comes to that. But with that said, Rhule not going anywhere at least for a few years, not with that buyout clause

Yup simply just gotta embrace the suck

Bingo! It's either adapt or die. We've gotten nowhere acting like the football world is the way that it was or the way we want it to be. Glad to see us getting out of the chair and into the game. Hopefully, this is the first step to using whatever means we have to advance the program.

So we’re short on NIL money and our solution is to pay a bunch of high schoolers to move to Lincoln? Surely this won’t bite us in the ass when they take what little money we do have and then go elsewhere before they even make it on campus.

Also I get told that Nebraskans don’t want to pay millions to college kids because it’s not the “Nebraska way” and they would rather pay for facilities. So how is it the “Nebraska way” to pay a shit load of money to high school kids?

Did you just whine about both us doing this & people who don't like this in the same post?

Millard South about to have a freshman next year who can be a big time D1 guy in a few years if he keeps head on straight. Sir Chris Swillie is the name. Bookmark this.
