Yeah, I love Live Music and a good excuse to see mom. Probably could have brought you and your wife along if I had decided to go. Not sure if you've ever got to hang backstage at a big concert but generally a good time. I've seen or been involved with over 2,000 concerts yet never seen Kid Rock. One of the few Bucket List performers I have left.

Obviously not been to as many concerts as you but I’ve seen kid rock twice and both times were better than any other concert I’ve been to, he’s awesome live

I like bands that have fun on stage and off stage. Kid Rock is known for this. So many of the bands these days just put on a soul-less scripted show that is similar at every venue. They are just going through the motions to get a paycheck. A pain to get on stage and many times a struggle to get them to play the contracted time.

I've always been impressed with how much fun touring bands like Green Day, Blink 182, Blues Traveler, Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam have on stage and back stage. They fuck around having fun pranking each other off stage and what you see on the stage is what they are really like. They also play for the crowd. Eddie literally writes the Pearl Jam set list right before each show depending on the vibe. Blink & Green Day are huge pranksters, including on stage. Foo Fighters just love the music and performing. Such a positive vibe. Blues Traveler loves fucking with each other and their crew. One tour BT had a comedian who opened for them and he also did some tour managing for them. They gave him a hard time about his ratty tour bag. So at the end of the tour they gave him a nice expensive leather shoulder bag and told him his bonus was in it. They had crumpled up 3,000 $1 bills and crammed them in there.

How many times have you seen Big Head Todd and the Monsters? Another great live band.

How many times have you seen Big Head Todd and the Monsters? Another great live band.

I've seen Todd well over a dozen times. They put on a good show. Todd split time between his house in Boulder & his teepee in Steamboat so he was an easy local booking. Todd is an interesting cat. An introvert so not the most social person. He threw a party at his house one night and locked himself in his bedroom getting high with his girlfriend. Literally was not downstairs for his own party. Nice unassuming guy but just very quiet when not on stage.
