NYC residents in a nut shell --> they think 3 or 4 day Amazon delivery and a Costco 80 miles away = living in the Outback
(for reference: the nearest Costco to me is either: Lincoln at 250 miles or Denver at 260 miles and the past 2 years when we lived in the country Amazon did not even recognize our home address cuz it was so rural so we had to have all of our Amazon delivered to my wife's office at the hospital 40 miles away)

When we lived on our acreage, the Washington County roads were so bad in the Spring that UPS literally threatened to discontinue delivery service until they were restored to passable status. Too much kitty litter (pea gravel); not enough crushed limestone.
I miss many aspects of living rural, but those fucking roads aren’t one of them.
