You could have been the original Star Wars if they had got this to work at all/during the war.

They had to make do with the profoundly government named PBR, which stands for Patrol Boat Riverine. It had a mounted quad 50 which was 4 .50 cal machine guns on the back deck. It got the job done.

The guys on those boats also had balls of steel as one of their tactics was to shoot into areas along the river where VC were suspected to be in order to draw fire. Yeah no thanks.
