TPB X thread

While I agree... I don't think the net gain you get from Wandale makes a difference.

He doesn't solve special teams... He doesn't solve OL problems... He doesn't solve lack of turnovers from the defense.... He doesn't solve lack of sacks.... He doesn't solve the questionable play calling at times..... Etc....
I’m not convinced you’re unable to get Toure with WR. Skill sets and utility seems totally different.

Having both on the field is a net gain, as is having one on the field when the other isn’t despite the shit show that is everything else.

So you’re saying next year probably won’t be much better unless with get an infusion of talent in the portal?
I mean your schedule lightens up but until you beat the teams you should it doesn't matter.

Does adding Whipple for Lubick and Frost becoming more of a HC vs OC/HC help with game management?

Does adding the kickers, pointers and the punt returner help the special teams?

Do you have faith in Chins to fix what needs to be fixed? Or to just maintain what they did in 21? Shit you maintain, get better on special and you shave off damn near a TD a game I bet.

Why did we not go after another WR when Wandale left? Maybe he was a take no matter what but the fact we didn't try leads me to believe it wasn't a both scenario in the cards.

If you have both it is a gain.

I think we take a step back on defense. I have no clue on offense. Special teams have to be better. I know we should be better at punter for sure.

I have a dumb level of confidence in Chins... I can see a step back for sure given what we lose but it wouldn't surprise me if we are close to the same level.

No clue on offense until I see what the QB spot looks like. I do like what Whipple brings in terms of experience. He had some quotes back from his time at Pitt that were spot on for what I felt we needed.

Special teams should be a big flip.

Anyway if this experiment works this should be the worst year of it given how young we will be next year.

I won’t try to decipher the tea leaves regarding this staff’s decision making.

I wouldn’t be surprised had the staff said internally that WR sucks anyway and the roster we have can replace his production.
