I don't understand how this is a bad look for Rhule? He knows what he's doing. Sure Tony's defense kept us in close games but where were they for the Illinois game? Has TW ever help an RPO to a less than 4 yard gain at Nebraska?

No point in melting down over this. Secure Holgerson moving forward and field a top 35 Defense and this is a 10 win team with 1 or 2 impact transfers.

Personally I think losing Benhart/Ty/John Bullock are bigger losses than losing TW/TKnight

Bummer about Knighton, but I think he was going to leave this year for a promotion regardless.

I love seeing some people melt down over this. Do you really all think that Rhule hasn't kept recruits/parents up to date with what's happening with his staff? Do a lot of you also not realize that the most important defensive coach to keep is Dvoracek? He is the guy that's busting his ass recruiting on the road.
Remember when Rhule came on board & retained Raiola, and everyone completely melted down about WTF he was doing, then Uncle Donny turned out to be the best offensive position coach by a wide margin?

I'm not necessarily loving the thought of TW and/or TK leaving, but if we're shuffling things around on D, I still give Rhule a healthy benefit of the doubt on coach selection, especially when he was able to make a similar upgrade on the offensive side of the ball just a few weeks ago.

IMO, Rhule had leaned heavily on guys from the Temple/Baylor way on his initial picks, but is able to evaluate how that's going after being out of CFB a few years & jumping into a power conference, and is willing to adapt. If we're still doing the same significant shuffling in a year or two (and not because guys are getting snapped up for promotions), then that's a red flag. For now, I'm a little bummed as a fan of TW, but still trusting the process.

If Rhule can't replace coaches, underperforming or exiting for other gigs, with better coaches, he ain't it.

I think the Uncle Donny point is a very good one. Not sure it outweighs Scat/Foley, but if things were obvious we wouldn't have gone 6-6
