I’m not saying the fire doesn’t burn bright at times, because it does…just choose to stay rational on everything.

Nobody from the top down wants 7-5. I can’t seem to wrap my head around what acting the crash out fool and generally being an ass on a message board does to change it.

That being said, I do enjoy watching many members show who they really are. People act much differently in person than places like this. You tend to get who the they really are when masked behind the avatar. Always fun to observe.

There are some folks here that likely couldn’t make it through much adversity at all.

Chicken little couldn’t hold a candle to these folks.

Agree completely with everything you’ve said in these last few posts.

Some really good posts in the past two pages. The only topic I will go all in on is QB and the need to hit from the portal. I don’t think it’s a secret that I’m not a LaQueef guy. I think he’s borderline terrible.

I thought the dramatic drop in defense was contributed by a non-existent offense with seemingly no belief they could score. LaQueef is the worst QB to take snaps in the Rhule era; possibly some hyperbole there, but no distinct difference in ability than HH or even Sims to be honest.

Best description I can come up with, despite what arm talent or athleticism he has is..he’s simply not a gamer. No IT factor at all, and it’s obvious.

Sims was worse but I get your point

Very possibly true. But I’m willing to give Lateef some slack. He’s a true freshman that got thrown into the fire late in the season. We don’t know how many reps he was getting in practice prior to Dylan going down.

I will wait to pass judgement until we see more.

Spot. On.

I love the study of human nature and the adversarial natures of life on individual and group behaviors.

And this place…well, it is a cornucopia of goodness in that regard. 🤘😎

"No distinct difference in the ability" between TJLQ, Sims, and Haarberg, if you completely ignore the fact that Sims turned the ball over at approximately 45x the clip that TJ does, and Haarberg probably 3x.

We absolutely need a portal QB but come on. He's not a good QB at this point by any stretch but you could make a much more convincing argument that he's the second best QB to take snaps under Rhule lol

These are the passing ratings for each Rhule QB's Nebraska career on sports-reference.com
Sims: 91.5
Haarberg: 105.0
Chubba: 111.7 (only counting his 2023 stats, not snaps under Frost)
TJ: 133.7
Dylan: 140.8 (158.6 in 2025)

I would never give up on a guy in his true frosh year but he did not look good repeatedly the last 3 games. Even some easy screens and short passes were off. There's plenty to criticize Dylan on but he almost never missed on short passes. TJ also didn't show near the athleticism I hoped to see either.

One thing I feel very confident in, if he's starting next year we're in trouble.

I believe TJ could take a nice jump going into his second season, but his inconsistency & lack of gamer-ness the last several games has me a LOT less optimistic about his readiness than I was seeing him in relief early in the season.

Well put. You do a much better job at keeping emotions in check than I do. But I like to think, I’ve gotten better over time.

I try to find the positives in every game. It certainly feels better than dwelling on the negative.
I guess we are a dieing breed.

Yeah, passer rating isn’t the only thing I would use to evaluate a QB. I also said my comment has a hint of hyperbole. The point is LaQueef is very bad and if the starter next season, so is Nebraska.

We can ALL breathe a big sigh of relief that painful part of the season is over and now the sweet sweet bliss that is the off season is here for everyone. Winning starts now and goes into next fall.

Some of it is real angst. Guys that just freak the hell out over pretty much everything. Some of it is the recent poor play is to guys a green light to become bad actors.

All of a sudden five or six guys (half of which are borderline pains in the ass to start with) go full retard and have explosive bowel moments in every thread.

It’s going to be a long off season.
