Taylor/Ellis transferring to Millard South

If I was Nebraska, I wouldn't want to spend any time on anyone who wasn't interested enough in their home state school to travel the short distance necessary to attend a camp at the school. Off-campus recruiting days are pretty limited now; they need that time because they have a lot of geography to cover. The widows are in January, April 15-Memorial Day, and Sept-Nov and only allow a total 173 person days. that's less than 20 each for the designated off-campus recruiting coaches.

I disagree with this completely. It would take Nebraska and their coaches very little effort to send people out to the local high schools in Lincoln and Omaha. Touch your bases so you're not losing out on kids to rival schools in the B1G because you can't even make a small effort to see them. Also shows they're full of shit when they talk about valuing Nebraska high school football in the state, when they can't even make it to the local high schools in Lincoln and the Omaha metro, when there's a bevy of FCS, G5, P4 schools making appearances.

I’m not one to give this staff much credit but they have gotten most of the in state kid that they actually wanted.
