Sadderfield is getting 2x as much as he’s worth. For 1.5 million per year, you better have an elite offense. I don’t think we will be anywhere close to elite in the near future

Definitely. I think Satterfield is probably overpaid relative to what he could get on the open market. I guess we can take solace in the fact that if he sucks, we've got the coin to go get a top OC
I don’t think he is a shit OC, but when you see Garrett Riley making around 300k more it shows we are in the pay range where we could get an elite OC.
Last year 8 of the top ten most highly paid coordinators were DCs.

Grubb stands out. He was making $1M last year and got TWO new contracts from UW in the last two months of the year, first to 1.45M, then 2M. Jimbo was trying to hire him away. Shows how valuable he must be to DeBoer.
Satterfield made $900K at SC. Rhule possibly gave more $$ than he needed to, but this is who Rhule wanted for OC and Rhule needed to offer more to get him.

Don’t mind me. Just bumping more stuff to prove a point. Rhule dug himself a hole that he may very well not climb out of. Many posters knew immediately that Shat was not worth near what we were paying before he even stepped foot on campus.
Our last 3 HCs have tripped over their own dicks right out of the starting blocks with these retarded shit-fuck buddy hires. We know how the first 2 ended after they tried to make changes. Just giving everybody a heads up. It’s probably not going to get better regardless of who he fires and hires.
Next coaching regime we get in at Nebraska I would like to suggest a new payment structure. Pay is reevaluated each year based on previous years performance, and indexed to the national averages. Offensive Coordinator, your offense finished the season ranked 115th in the country? Your pay is the average of offensive coordinators ranked 110-120 nationwide. Teams overall ranking in S+P or whatever is 89th? Head coach gets paid the average of whatever teams are ranked 80-90. Obviously bonuses for finishing with a playoff berth or whatever. Make em earn their money, no more of this bullshit throw cash at a piss poor performance and hope they turn it around. It feels like at this point Nebraska is considered na easy mark to come milk for cash.
