I heard from a decent source that Mickey has been in talks with Thompson, there is mutual interest, but we haven't extended an legit offer. Mickey wants to, but Frost thinks we have a legit shot with Slovis still and prefers him.

This. McCall is easily the quickest and best decision maker in the portal. I watched a lot of CCU football this year. Super fast and fluid decision maker. Goes through 3-4 progressions and knows where it’s going before he plants his foot almost every time. Not the most athletic guy but is still very effective in the RPO and option game because he makes the right read and makes it fast. Also is great at fake pitches.
