Flew to Minneapolis yesterday from Phoenix. 2/3 of flight was screaming kids. We land and pilot tells everyone to stay seated as Delta agents are coming onboard to deal with a “situation”.

Two agents come onboard and remove two 20ish girls from different rows. Heard them say they had stolen something on previous flight.

Gotta love airport people watching. I swear people are not shy about having conversations where everyone around can hear. I hate the air pod talkers. It's like they have to talk twice as loud.

We need the stand your ground law equivalent to let any concerned citizen shooting speaker phone talkers/music listeners on phone speakers on sight consequence free, imo

I really want to know what the logic is behind talking on speaker phone in public is. I worry asking the question is potentially insensitive in some way but I’m past the point of being pissed off and now just want to understand why. The speaker when there is background noise is so much harder to hear and be heard on than holding it up to their ear.

My theories:
1. Worried about cancer
2. Self centered and oblivious
3. Want to annoy people around them
4. Started off as #3 and forgot about the humble beginnings and now are #2

P.S. riding public transportation here in the DC area I see all race, sex, creed, what have you, doing this. I know there is a racial stereotype around this frustration but it’s certainly not exclusive to any one category of people.

I love the people who have Bluetooth hearing aids and talk on speaker, but you have no idea if someone is on the other end. My BIL does that, and it is incredibly aggravating.
